Every fan base has its lunatic fringe. Every single one. Thankfully we don’t get much of it from either side on this board.

I hardly ever comment on social media sites other than here cuz I love how we have civil convos on here. I know we all have disagreements but never get out of hand. I love me some sports but I’ve never been the type to let it control me to where I’m gonna go irate on individuals and rival fan bases. I enjoy being able to share info on here that some might not know and getting to learn info that others know that I don’t.

Oh we used to have our crazies on the old site lol. Not many but some. And also one guy who is now a well known personality at Barstool.

What do you mean when you say a solid offer from Bama? Like NIL wise?

"Solid" as in all things basically equal between offers from Bama and MSU.

IF Bama is offering PFW instead of a scholly with MSU offering a scholly and the same NIL as Bama... he'll go to MSU.

When these young men don't sign on early signing days, it's usually 1 of 3 things:

1. They're really torn between offers from teams they feel comfortable with and the money is basically equal.

2. One of the two teams has a better offer but they'd really rather get the same (or better) offer from the other team.

3. There's an issue with the recruit that makes teams offering slow play the recruit (off the field issue, bad in the locker room, grade risk, etc).

The word today is that Hill has signed with either State or Bama already but whichever side is keeping it air tight until he announces in early January.

That is interesting. Conventional wisdom says it is probably Bama but his Dad played at State and with Lebby at State now his opportunity to play early and often is certainly much higher at State.

Barring injury, he will play on Sunday’s down the road regardless of which college he goes to.

Appear to be conflicting reports on if he actually signed or not. But State has been the choice many insiders have been expecting recently, including some on the Bama beat.

He’s got 2 years to live up to the hype.  Well, actually 1, because if he was still rated the #1 portal guy with the average stats and starts he’s had in 2 years, he’ll declare after next season.

We will see if Golding can coach them up.  Many considered his time as DC at Bama as just ok with what he had to work with.

Regardless, it’s better to have talent than no talent, and OM has as much on the defense as a group as they’ve had since the Nkemdichie days.

Shoot the talent they are getting on defense, I expect them to be rock solid.. as much as I hate to admit it, Ole Miss on paper, right now, looks unbelievable.

If OM doesn’t win at least 9 regular season games next year then they underachieved. Some will argue the number is 10.

That is the conventional wisdom. But it depends on how a team with lots of new players gels.
This year, Ole Miss hit the jackpot but there is no guarantee that will happen again.
If it does, then 10-2/11-1 is very possible. If it doesn’t, then things could unravel. IMO, the latter is not likely but it is possible.
This is the future of college football. Potentially high ceilings but if the bottom falls out it could be messy.

This has actually been the fewest amount of portal players Ole Miss has taken in an offseason yet. They took double the amount of transfers last year as they just did in this portal class.

Arizona’s QB Jayden de Laura has entered the portal. Someone will get a good one with him. Kinda surprised about this one. With him I would’ve had Arizona as a Big 12 favorite next year.

He got benched mid season and their new QB was a big improvement. They probably beat State if Fifita is playing QB. Only reason State won that game was because de Laura was a turnover machine.

“Why is it that when Ole Miss acquires good players it’s “they’re all in on this year, this is their one chance”…. what if our rich ***** simply have decided to buy the best players every year ?”

Saw this on Twitter and it’s my thought as well and something I’ve found amusing. It’s usually came from opposing fanbases that don’t realize how the game has changed.

Well it’s not just the buying new players. You’re also in the spot you’re in because you return a ton of production from this season.

It’s returning star power + new stars. May be hard to have both factors every year.

We’re in the spot we’re in cuz Kiffin has killed it in the transfer game during his time here turning a 4/5 win team into a double digit win team. If it was State y’all would be talking it up more than y’all do over a Rutgers basketball win.

Lol I just said earlier this evening that OM should expect to win no fewer than 9-10 games next year. Have never denied that OM is in an excellent spot right now.

I’m merely saying that it’s rare to return your leading passer, rusher, and receiver, and also be able to upgrade the talent on your roster in a big way. I would feel differently about OM if they were having to add a whole team via the portal, but the fact that guys like Dart, Judkins, Harris are back is huge.

Most teams do not return multi year starters at every level on offense. And Ole Miss won’t most years. That’s just a simple fact.

What’s even more amusing is some of the OM fans talking about how rich “we” are.  Donate $50 to the Grove Collective, but skipping out on their child support.
