Part of me thinks the only thing we’ll learn from the Louisville/ John Curtis game is whether Louisville should be ranked in the top 25 nationally after it. I think they’re playing with house money after how John Curtis played North Shore last week. If they lose then oh well it’s against basically a top 40 team nationally. The other part of me thinks with a win the country should view Louisville as a top 25 team. I started writing this post by saying we won’t really learn anything from this game and then I added this part because I think John Curtis wins but WHAT IF?!?!

Plus going to get an angry motivated John Curtis team that last night let a game slip away from them in the 4th against nationally ranked North Shore who is arguably the 2nd best team in Texas. Penalties killed a drive for John Curtis late in the 4th that would’ve given them the lead.

Congrats to Riverside. They lost 52-8 but they hadn’t scored since Oct 31 2024. That’s one monkey off their back. Ironically their scoreless streak started after shutting out O’Bannon 8-0 and ended last night against O’Bannon.

Y’all are 1-1 and could’ve easily been 2-0 after playing 2 really good teams. I wouldn’t be so hard on yall.

With West Tally losing to West Bolivar tonight and Leflore County beating Simmons, I would say Leflore County is the team in 1A North to keep an eye on.

Kelvin Bolden coming back to Ole Miss is huge for future recruiting.

If I were Tulane I would’ve promoted Craddock to HC before I went with Hall.

Notre Dame has opted out of the bowl season.

Like I said, it wouldn’t surprise me if they put Ohio State at #2.

Mendoza just won the Heisman and I wouldn’t be surprised if they had Indiana 1 and Ohio State 2 tomorrow.

I doubt Retzlaff gets benched this go around but it would still be a 2 score game at least. However I would rather play Virginia than Tulane though. Here’s how I see it going. 1. Big 10 Champ 2. Georgia 3. Texas Tech 4. Big 10 Runner Up 5. Oregon 6. Ole Miss 7. Texas A&M 8. Oklahoma 9. Miami 10. Notre Dame(I don’t agree with this but I think they get it) 11. Tulane or Virginia 12. Tulane or James Madison 11/12 depending on ACC champ game

I remember when NSD felt like another holiday. Now it’s just basically another day with the way times are. That being said Ole Miss was able to get signatures from the two guys I was hoping would stick around. Landon Barnes and JaMichael Garrett are going to be future stars on the defensive side of the ball. Can’t wait to see them in Ole Miss jerseys.

Which is crazy seeing as how not too long ago they had a guy serving time for embezzling money through a children’s hospital to pay players but now have enough to have 3 head coaches still on payroll plus NIL. John Funes gotta be wondering what the heck happened all of a sudden.

Something that has been bugging me(not on here) is why do folks elsewhere keep saying Kiffin is going to be unstoppable with the 25M NIL LSU is giving him to get players? That was pretty much just our defense last year. 25M really isn’t that much.

OAN: I’m a one of a kind Ole Miss fan because I’m probably the only one that also roots for LSU on the side instead of saying GTHLSU because my dad went there, most of my family lives in LA, my cousin Jacob Hester played for them and I lived a good bit of my life in LA and was brought up a LSU fan. I pretty much became an Ole Miss fan 10 years ago when I moved to Oxford. You can occasionally see me strolling through the square with something LSU on getting the stink eye from folks. Today has been kinda weird for me.

At this point I think Ole Miss will play in the 6/11 game and A&M play in the 7/10. The SECCG will determine if both drop because if Georgia loses I assume Bama will get the bye even with 2 losses and Georgia will still be ahead of both Ole Miss and A&M.

Part of me says 16 is perfect based off this year but how often does this year happen? There could be seasons where 4 loss teams are in the playoffs if it’s 16. 12 is a nice number but there will always be 3 or 4 teams that say they belong over others.

I agree but give it time and it’s going to be 16, then 20 something then 32. Especially after Texas gets left out this year and we never hear the end of it.

So if Duke wins the ACCCG next week against Virginia, the ACC champion might get left out and Miami get in as an at large bid? Craziness
