I do not know if I were them I would move mountains to get the GOAT back in Chambliss. I believe he still lives there and is coaching in Alabama.

North 7A - Tupelo 6A - Warren Central or Lake Cormorant ------ I only say this as a possibility because Lake Cormorant is beyond talented defensively probably second to only Tupelo and its close from a sheer talent perspective which is absolutely crazy to say considering Tupelo is a travel ball squad. Lake Cormorant rotates 6 Defensive Linemen that all look like identical twins that are 6'3-6'5 250. If you haven't seen the talent they have on the defensive side of the football it is an injustice. They have 5-6 legitimate division 1 football players anchored by 2027 Eric Vaulx DE and Rashod Bobo LB - Florida State Commit and Western Kentucky Commit respectively and 2028 Ty'Jah Brown DL - Uncommitted but holds multiple offers from SEC schools. In the 2029 class they have Jaden McGregory CB that holds Ole Miss and Arkansas offers and Khalil Sims a 6'5 240 DE with a Florida State offer). To have that much talent on one side of the football is insane! There are other players that will be recruited but are not being recruited yet. They have other players that I expect to get offers QB - Curtis Shields will be a DB at next level. Also an OLB and WR. 5A - Put name in a hat and leave West Point out. 4A - LOUISVILLE 3A - WINONA 2A - KEMPER COUNTY 1A - I have no idea

The Shannon players initiated that fight and got exactly what they were looking for. The Shannon coach made no attempt to get his players under control and went across just to shake hands while his players were taunting the entire sideline. This is my opinion…. Emotions and excitement were very high and kids are going to be kids. They earned a hard fought victory. The Shannon staff should have made an immediate, deliberate attempt to control the kids elation and get them controlled and back to their side of the field and then went to shake hands and took whatever the response was from the Pontotoc staff in terms of voicing their displeasure with the way they were acting and then walked away and celebrated with their boys. Instead they chose to allow kids to continue taunting Pontotoc and just shake hands. Because they chose to ignore their players behavior they will be playing short handed I would assume. Either way it was a bad look.

Isn’t there also a DB from Vardaman? Maybe he moved to Vardaman as well?

Wonder if it was their idea to move to Tupelo or they did so because their child was being recruited from another area school. It’s a sad day when a great football coach that develops and cares about his kids the way Finch did/does at Saltillo steps down because another coach/school like Tupelo doesn’t care enough about him and his family than to recruit his players. Now every other child and player at Saltillo is suffering because Tupelo felt the need to hoard talent from other places. What about the born and bred kids that are now standing on the sidelines because someone moved in from Saltillo? Hardin and company may be great football coaches but the way they robbed Saltillo is not commendable. Say what you want but it’s ridiculous and no one says a word about it and folks like you defending it will only make it worse. The tide (or Golden Wave) will recede at some point and you will be right back to mediocrity at Tupelo like you’ve always been.

Home grown means Lee County right? Which would include the influx of all the players from Saltillo? Wasn’t Braylon Williams a player at Baldwyn?

You cant hear anything about West Point now. Ive tried to get them stirred up. They have run for cover. Welcome to the real world with the rest of us peasants I reckon. I'm betting when they beat up on Pontotoc and Saltillo they will jump back in head first. Although I doubt they pull that railroad horn they been jerking on for several years in the state championship regardless of who makes it from the south.

Tupelo is even recruiting next years class already by going ahead and lining up several players that include the Quarterback from East Webster and several other key positional players. No one will bat an eye when he “announces” his move from EW to Tupelo.
