  1. I was looking at k-12. 9-12 they 390-400
  2. Yall can say what you want to about who you think will win but I’m a Louisville Wildcat fan this Friday! Louisville fans know plenty of football outside of their zip code I can assure you that. Louisville expects their team to win and that’s why they are a perennial winner. It doesn’t matter if they’re in GTA or from NOLA, Louisville expects to win because that’s the standard. For these South MS folks that haven’t seen Louisville play this year I would encourage you to check them out online. They have PLAYERS! Especially on the defensive side of the ball and the QB #5 can go along with their stable of RBs. JC may win but I’m excited that one of these out of state teams will finally play one of the better teams in MS while they are on the up and up. John Curtis has almost 1,000 students and little Louisville has half of that. I hope they embarrass JC. Go Wildcats!
  3. I have been impressed with what Germantown has been offensively. If they could halfway play defense they would be hard to beat. I also believe that OG can compete with Gulfport if they continue to improve. I have watched the first 2 weeks on livestream and they have a solid bunch. Just my untrained opinion.
  4. OG defensive front is active and physical. That will carry you a long way in HS football especially in late November when it gets cold. OG defense held Starkville in check offensively and I personally don’t see many teams doing that. Also, to hold that Germantown offense to 25 seems like a loss but it is not. They are really good offensively. Last year they averaged over 40 points a game and I believe they will be the same this year.
  5. I’ve bet on Hattiesburg to many times and looked like an idiot. I’ve watched Oak Grove and they are really good up front and physical. Seems to be Hattiesburg’s kryptonite not to mention I believe special teams will be a factor.
  6. Wammie you know the country isn’t going to give us any respect even if Louisville rubs the floor with JC which I personally hope happens.
  7. I have been hearing this a lot and given history Seminary fields a heck of a football team.
  8. I am not sure. I saw some highlights on one of their players and it kind of looked like JJ McClain?
  9. Always one of the most talented teams that cant seem to get over the hump talent isnt the problem.
  10. Columbia vs Petal - Is Columbia the front runner in 4a South? I believe this game will be a good gauge of where Columbia stacks up. It is said that teams typically improve the most between weeks 2 & 3 so we will see. Hernando @ Kosciusko - Hernando definitely isn't John Curtis but they are a formidable 7A opponent. Will Kosciusko continue to roll or will Hernando put a stop their offense? John Curtis @ Louisville - I think we should all be Wildcat fans this week. I hope Louisville sends John Curtis home crying. Represent the entire state of Mississippi well this week Louisville! This is easily the game to see this Friday! Noxubee @ West Point - This game is ALWAYS highly competitive. Will West Point be 0-3 or will they right the ship? Seminary vs D'Iberville - What better way for Seminary to prove that they are a legitimate contender than to beat the team that beat Raleigh? D'Iberville why are you playing so many top 3A teams? Warren Central @ Germantown - This game is second to the Louisville vs JC matchup in my opinion. This will be a great game to see. Warren Central looks poised to run away with 6A and repeat as State Champions. They can prove it this week. Germantown was a fumble away from knocking off Oak Grove.
  11. Completely agree. I think we learn a lot about both of these times Friday. More about Kosciusko than Louisville. If Kosciusko manhandles Hernando then they are as good if not better than last season. Louisville struggles to score although their defense is something serious. Kosciusko's offense is potent (They return 11 starters on that side of the football). John Curtis is a great football team and I know Louisville is the real deal. So they dont have anything to prove to me. I fully expect them to beat Kosciusko twice but to make the inference that Kosciusco isn't even a valid threat after they should have beaten you twice last season is foolish and quite frankly the reason that Louisville watched the championship from home last year. You can use the excuse that you had injuries all that you want to but Kosciusko had just as many injuries and both of their top WR's (McBride and Roundtree) were hurt in the second game last year and the only injury Louisville had was the RB Jernigan (sp). Kosciusko physically whipped Louisville the second game around. I don't have a dog in this hunt but I am paying attention to this match up because I personally believe it is the most intriguing match up in the North Half of the State of MS this year that I will have the pleasure of watching twice. I will go on the record of saying I think Louisville wins because it is Louisville and they have straight dogs on DEFENSE and defense wins games. Louisville also has Tyrone Shorter. But Kosciusko is one of the best teams in the state regardless of class and Casey Orr has fielded a great team everywhere he has been.
  12. Charleston looked terrible in a 24-14 win against North Panola so I dont think they are relevant. Baldwyn STRUGGLED to beat Kossuth week 1 and then got hammered by like 40 by Booneville. No way they would compete with those teams.
  13. I agree that this is partially true. Their schedule is laughable! Really it is. The only team that actually has a legitimate pulse in regards to their football program on Lafayette’s non conference schedule is Hernando. The reclassification has made 5A North as a whole very laughable to be honest. However, Lafayette is improved from the last couple of years and West Point is not good up front. Which is strange. Lafayette ran for 500+ yards Friday. That’s hard to do no matter who your opponent is. Do I think Lafayette will beat them NO. Is it possible if WP continues to slide. YEP!
  14. Gonna be straight crying Jordan emoji all weeks if yall choke!
  15. “Biggest test”? No respect for Kosy that put yall out last year and should have been 0-2 against?
  16. That 4A school would more than likely win 5a North. Problem is they’re also in 4A North with Louisville. We will see them play each other twice this year. How fun will that be!
  17. East Webster is definitely the favorite in 2A north. Maybe Kemper County.
  18. Nanih Waiya has given up close 100 points in 2 games! They are not a threat unless something miraculous happens defensively. They gave up 50 to Vardaman who was shut out by Bruce 42-0 tonight.
  19. North MS is hot and dry. Everything crunches when you walk from your knees to the grass.
  20. Yep completely left them off. smh. Glad you called me on that one. One of the better locations to be compared to most of these schools also.
  21. I agree the protected was B.S and I can assure you I didn’t want to go to Holmes but I was one of the lucky “protected” players in their district and had to go there instead of Northwest after asking to be taken off. It kept it from being so lopsided though. As @HammerDown74stated is true now but was really true back then… any team really could win any week. 1990 - ItawambaRegional Runner-up 1991 - NorthwestNJCAA National Runner-up 1992- NorthwestNJCAA National Champion 1993 - Mississippi DeltaNJCAA National Champion 1994- HindsState Champion 1995HindsState Champion 1996HindsState Champion 1997HindsState Champion 1998Jones CountyState Champion 1999NorthwestState Champion 2000HindsState Champion 2001Jones CountyState Champion 2002HolmesState Champion 2003Pearl RiverStarted historical 4-year run 2004Pearl RiverNJCAA National Champion 2005Pearl RiverState Champion 2006Pearl RiverNJCAA National Runner-up - now compare that to the recent list of champions that is composed of 3 schools with Colin once.
