Hancock isn't terrible either. They just need to find some defense. They've struggled with that since the Lightning shortened Jamboree against Columbia.

If that's the case, they were good enough talent wise to beat Hancock and Gautier. Losing to them didn't help matters. Now their backs are against the wall.

If PRC can’t beat Goula this week, it will put them at 0-3 in district play and probably out of contention for a playoff spot. It won’t matter what they do to Long Beach because the games they needed to win, they didn’t.

Feel like this needs a bump. Anyone have any thoughts on 6A South after two weeks of district play? In Region 4 you’ve got Picayune sitting 2-0, 4 teams at 1-1, and PRC at 0-2.

I know their middle school boys are huge. But what happens from that time to varsity, who knows. They haven't had a really good replacement for Al Jones. That much I know.

I watched the West Point livestream against Pontotoc and it wasn’t a good football team that I saw. They were undisciplined and unconditioned. Heck they even looked slow when they ran the football. They may win a game, but if who they play is quicker, leaner and more physical why would you go against picking West Point’s opponent to win?

Mendenhall is tough. That first round game against Poplarville in 2024 was one heck of a ballgame. They ain't no slouch at all. We had to go there Fall '02 in the playoffs back when we were in 4A. We would have clocked them by today's standards since we won 43-3, but it was a neat stadium to play in for sure.
