You ain’t gotta apologize. I was hoping you would have played along LOL. I’m glad you were able to make a pick, because I honestly think it could go either way. If the Biloxi game last week was the so called “get the monkey off the back” game for Picayune, I understand why you would make that pick. I just want to see Picayune start to build. I mean Gulfport and JA left them with enough rubble and mortar to do so.

Probably. I would too, but I'll be there this Friday Vott.
-
PRC is also playing at Poplarville. I think PopVegas is going to be too much for PRC. I think the Hornets might win by 22.

I get it. You want to stay away from Picayune and Ocean Springs. I don't blame you there.

Cool Heads Soft Points Review with Slick and Bo for Sept 7

It’s very hard to find elite, suffocating defenses like you’re seeing with Gulfport this year or like West Jones from a few years ago. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely teams with good defenses, but it’s kind of a generational thing especially with high school football. When you have an old starting 11 on defense that’s had a lot of playing time under their belt, that seems to be the recipe to have an elite defense. But you also need D1 talent mixed in there as well. -
That very well could happen if 7A gets back to 24 teams.
-
I really don't think that would be bad. I know George County will appreciate it. If I had to take a guess, I would think Hancock would be in Region 3-7A to replace Meridian and the reason why I say that is because Hancock was in Region 3 with us back when we were in the 7A equivalent of today back in '03 and '04.
-
So if Meridian drops to 6A, then I would assume George County would move to Region 4 in 6A.
-
Who on the coast would get kicked back down to 6A?

Predicted Prep Football scores for 09/18/2026

I think win or lose for either team doesn't necessarily spell disaster. I'd like to see Picayune improve from the Biloxi game and I'm sure Ocean Springs would like to build off the Pascagoula win. Both teams needed wins on Friday and got them. District play still hasn't started yet, so every goal that's in front of Picayune and Ocean Springs is still attainable. We could ask that same question about Hattiesburg. Is Hattiesburg in trouble because they lost to Oak Grove? -
Well when you've been punched in the mouth for two straight weeks against Gulfport and JA, just getting up off the mat and finding a way to win is huge. I'm sure Picayune would have wanted to win by a larger margin, but there was a lightning delay and you are on the road. Anytime there's those types of delays, it generally favors the home team. Picayune needed a win and the got it. They know they still have a lot to work on.

Predicted Prep Football scores for 09/18/2026

Wedgeworth can sling it and Hancock can score. They just need to clean up the penalties and find some defense somewhere. I can see the 42-35 score favoring St. Martin, but I don't think either team will be able to stop each other offensively. The scoring might even be higher, like a 56-49 type ballgame. -

Dude has St. Martin beating Hancock by 21. If anything that prediction should be opposite. St. Martin doesn’t have anywhere near the talent level of Poplarville, so to put them beating Hancock by 21 is kind of absurd. I honestly could see it being more like a track meet. I realize St. Martin is 3-0, and Hancock is 1-2, but if Hancock can work on shoring up their defense some they honestly could be 2-1 to this point. -
