Wayne County - 350K+ Let the healing begin, Bring back W. Taylor

Same difference. You can keep him at Heidelberg or Mize doesn't matter. -
Then I reckon they'd perk their ears up.

I realize this is probably a trick question, and if I had to answer it correctly I would have to say neither. With that being said though, the MHSAA isn't the one pushing NIL so it puts them on the correct side of this issue by default. Now if those two synergies end up combining on this issue, they can all go jump off a cliff. Someone has to draw a line in the sand somewhere.

Isn't a child, who is a minor, a parent's responsibility? If a child is in school and participating in extra-curricular activities, shouldn't the parents be providing food, water, clothing & shelter for the child? Why should a minor need thousands of dollars to begin with?
-
If you want to get compensated outside of school, get a dang job. That's what I did and probably what everyone else would do. A little bit of work never hurt anyone.
-
Why do high school students need to be paid to play football or any other sport for that matter? A public education is a free education.
-
Runningman, I wouldn’t necessarily call it momentum. It’s more like maintaining the status quo. To try to put this into the right context without being so blunt, these Alabama coaches leave a whole lot to be desired. Simply put, they fall short and a school like Biloxi is perfectly ok with that.

I just want to know how simple Cosell's buttermilk biscuit recipe is. Last time I checked all you need is White Lily Flour, salted butter, & whole buttermilk. If he's got one simpler than that, I want to see it. I like how he gets that golden brown top on them. -
It was also an all adidas final. When was the last time that happened? No Nike whatsoever.
-
You really going to go there? What have those mighty Hattiesburg Tigers done since 1948? Sounds like that loss to Grenada is still hurting, but it was a sound butt whooping so it probably was more like an anesthetic Stooge style. You should still be conked out.

That's the problem. Harrison Central has never had major success and at one time was the largest high school in Mississippi (pre-Katrina/West Harrison).
-
I also think State got way too 3 happy last night. If they would have ran the offense and tried to get open mid-range and close 2 point shots, they could have kept it interesting. A 3 pointer is good if you make it, but if they aren't falling just go for open shots inside the arc. Empty offensive possessions will hurt worse than a turnover.
-
I was referring to the early 2000s teams. They would never have let off the gas pedal.
-
Back in the day, if that was a Rick Stansbury team with a 14 point lead on Alabama, that lead would not be relinquished. It's like everyone was done at that point. And here's the other point: Alabama only had 9 players available last night. Everyone of those 9 players on Alabama's team had career days last night. You really can't make this stuff up.

He and Lorenzo both have HC experience. They did a heck of a job with that 2019 Picayune team, granted that offense was so explosive but they still had to coach the defense up. I'm curious to see where they end up.

By making this hire they've essentially made the OC position one of uttermost importance. That's a position they've got to get right. If they do that, it's a solid hire.
-
I had a feeling you felt that way. Something just seems off though, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I honestly hope I have this all wrong, but I just sense a regression with Pascagoula now. I'm not saying Pascagoula whiffed on a hire, and I'm not saying this is a bad hire even though my statements may seem to contradict that line of thought. I just don't want to see Pascagoula regress offensively. If they can get a solid OC, then this hire could very well work and be a good hire.
-
@ArcherWhat does this hire feel like to you? I'm curious to hear your take on it.

Contender every year or flash in the pan

I don't think the folks in Oxford are enjoying themselves right now. They got hit with another blow too. Chambliss got denied a 6th year of eligibility. -
I also realize that Carthage absorbed Thomastown & Edinburg, but why couldn't they just stay the Carthage Tigers? If the whole Leake County/Leake Central mascot and color thing was just a coincidence it makes it confusing as heck.
-
Is it a coincidence that both Leake County and Leake Central are the Gators and virtually have the same colors or was that by design?

Slick, the disgusting part in all of this is Hankins and Hathorne are throwing their own families under the dang bus. All of this could have been done with class, but they intentionally chose the wrong road. -
