Not gonna lie…. Based on early portal activity…. State might have a worse roster in 2025 than they had in 2024. I have no idea what your selling point for next season is. You’re coming off 2-10 and your outgoing players are somehow better than your incoming players so far.

You’ll have to spend more for players than other schools just to get them to come.

Unfortunately, it seems Selmon is probably in over his head.  A young, inexperienced first time AD at the same time NIL is blowing up was a bad scenario.

I’ve got some Selmon concerns too. Not saying kick him to the curb yet but I don’t feel like he’s had a great start.

Lebby understandably gets a Year 1 pass on a lot things. But you go 2-10 with a historically bad defenses and don’t make any changes? That’s something a lot of people are going to take issue with. And they do not really seem to be increasing the talent level much either.

For the people that believe this is Chad Morris 2.0…. They’ve got some legit ammunition to back that up right now.

This all resorts back to who's been here the whole time.  You don't eliminate the disease without eliminating the cancer.  Right hires can make an immediate, positive impact.  It doesn't take months or years to get a positive ROI.

Had De'Zhaun Stribling in Oxford yesterday. Would love to be able to land him but it sounds like he’s asking the type of money like he’s Randy Moss talented so pretty sure we’ll be moving on from him. I don’t like that Singleton left without signing the other day regardless of what usually 25% right David Johnson says. We’ll have to beat Texas out for him. Dane Key was also here yesterday. This is a make or break next few days with the WR position. Land 2 of these 3 and we’re in a perfect position. Don’t land any and could be in trouble. I wish we could’ve had all 3 in the building at the same time but having Stribling and Key at same time will have to do.

That source is very reliable, he's definitely HOLDING on to anything. Chortle

I honestly wish he wasn’t a walking penalty because he was a positive attitude high energy type of guy. However I did hear when he got dismissed from the team after the Egg Bowl he held onto the door and wouldn’t let go.

Luke Kromenhoek commits to State. He’s not a name people know like Arnold but I actually like this addition a good bit. I presume he’s your injury replacement starter next year and they plan for him and Taylor to battle for the job in 2026. High upside guy. I don’t think the QB room is a major issue going into next year. And I will end this post on that positive note and not focus on any other position groups lol

Oh most know him. Didn’t he fumble about 4 times against Florida and have a horrible game against UNC? He has a good reel that consist of mostly Charleston Southern. He’s a Shapen backup. Y’all just have to get through this year because KT is a very solid future. A VERY SOLID future.

I don’t know a ton about him just that he was highly regarded as a prospect and forced into action on a terrible team this year as a true freshman. Have a hard time writing him off based off a couple of games. But it’s true he does not have much of a track record yet.

I’m not a QB whisperer but y’all just have to get through this upcoming year and then y’all gonna have a great one with KT.

No doubt. Pettus is a high energy and a talented guy... I wish him nothing but the best. The holding penalties were sure frustrating and always seemed to happen on a big play.

I just don’t know why he can’t get settled.  He’s a great back and hopefully he gets it figured out.

His handler has him searching for more $$$. He settled fine at Nebraska. Was their lead back. Money play. Plain and simple. Too many of these kids have folks in their corner giving bad advice. I guess as long as he is on track for a degree, it is not a problem.

I just think all the money chasing is a bad look and the implications of that will extend beyond his college years.  If you can’t commit to a college or university, how would anyone expect you to commit to a real job in the real world?  It winds up being a bad look that will do more harm in the long run.
