Ole Miss has a tough outing to open with. I’m a big Jeff Brohm guy and think Louisville will be in ACC contention as long as he is there. If there wasn’t such a talent disparity, I would take Louisville to win right here. But Pete somehow managed to bring back IMO the best QB and maybe the best RB in the nation. That alone gets him above .500 this year. I really like Joe Judge, Frank Wilson, and Baker. This will more than likely still be a top 20 offense. The big question is defense. Pete wasn’t exactly the cream of the crop from a coordinator standpoint, but they still had great defenses in his time because of the recruiting. Have to imagine that won’t sustain now that Kiffin is gone. Not that Pete isn’t a great recruiter, but I don’t think they’ll be able to replicate the last few years of Kiffin’s tenure. I’ll take Ole Miss 21-17 No idea what to think of Clemson and LSU. SMU (-3) v Florida St. Both of these teams have some dudes. Norvell could be gone by November this year. FSU pulled a tough ACC slate and then have Bama + Florida OOC. FSU will be the biggest job open this season unless Norvell lights off a powder keg this year. I’ll take SMU 32-20 Auburn (-7.5) v Baylor. Byrum Brown may be the freakiest athlete in the SEC this year. The most violent QB I’ve ever seen. Really looking forward to week 3 with Auburn vs Florida. Floridas probably in a better spot right now because of the roster they were able to bring back. I like both hires from each team, and the staff Sumrall brought in. Golesh is going to need a little more time to turn his program around than UF. UF has the ability to upset some folks this year. But back to this game, I’ll take Auburn in a close one vs DJ Lagway 17-14

If it’s someone like Trinidad, load your weapons SEC we’re going to war. But this is over a 2nd string TE and an undrafted DT. It’s not worth losing a conference membership over

This isn’t the first time Buddy’s voiced an opinion in such a manner. There had to be some other tension between him and whoever had the ability to fire him -
Thoughts on Mississippi Colleges 2026 Football

Minnesota actually may be one of the upper tier B10 teams this year. I wouldn’t doubt if State rolls in as underdogs by that time -

For Ole Miss, I think just having Trinidad and Kewan guarantees you 8 wins -

Think Kiffin is playing mind games with this whole buyout deal that OM just filed a lawsuit for? Situations like this need to be addressed soon from the NCAA. If players leave after they just signed a contract, the rev share amount shouldn’t be locked into the University’s cap. The buyout clause wouldn’t be necessary if the allocation could be reversed. Ole Miss could’ve gotten 3-4 more players with that $$ -

I think Lebby needs 6 wins to keep his seat cool. Pre season talk is chasing the wind. By week 5 Bama could be a winnable game and Mizzou could look like a force to be reckoned with. 3 SEC wins Is the goal, and a Bowl win just for the record: We got a chance to upset one of those titans (looking at you Bama), it may could secure him another 2 years. If we had Arnett and a 2nd team All-SEC DT last year I think we were a 8 win team. So weren’t as terrible as most people think. Just hope we get atleast half of the improvement we showed 2024 to 2025 -

State has a good amount of a winnable games. ULM, Minn, SC, Mizzou, Vandy, Auburn. Wouldn’t be surprised if they upset one of the powerhouses. 6 wins would be a good year -
Baseballs a weird sport and anything can happen. But I dont think anyone is close to Georgia at this point
-
Don’t see how they could match the firepower of this years lineup. We’ll probably take a step back there. The big thing is landing another reliever or 2. Bauer’s development is a huge piece of next year too. He showed flashes near the end but was inconsistent
-
Felt like we’ve seen Jacob Parker in that situation about 7 times this year. It was a fun season with a lot of tough losses. The jump from last year makes this program exciting again. Think this was a home-run hire with O’Conner

A track meet doesn’t favor us

Pretty crazy stat I just saw. 5 of the regionals were won by teams that came out of the loser’s bracket. Chaotic start to this year’s postseason
-
Never wanna see a mid-major cali school or a sun belt team in your regional
-
We’ve seen it before. If they bring their A game and we bring our A game, they win. We came out hot in all of our games in the regionals but start slipping late defensively. I think we’ll play good against Georgia, but it’s their game to lose. Tough road for both teams

Never thought I’d see a #1 overall seed have a meltdown like UCLA just did. State’s putting a beating down on a tough Louisana team right now
-
Loving the new mics they have near the pitchers. They probably regretting it now haha

HR derby going on in Oxford
-
Probably the most complete game we’ve put together this year. Would be hard to sweep a top 10 team loaded with good arms. Hopefully the dude will be bumping tonight since it’s Friday. Glad to see one of our gap hitters like Bryce Chance turning into a HR threat. Reminds me of those other short compact like guys like Jose Ramirez and Mookie Betts molding into power hitters from just being contact guys
-
Foster would be much better as a reliever
-
May have to live off that 1st inning for the rest of the game, this Texas kid is on now
-
Couldn’t imagine how electric that stadium was when Parker hit that grand slam. Got chills just from the social media posts
-
We gotta remember this teams still relatively young and have a lot of new faces. Things like this will happen, especially in baseball. 4/5 losses were very winnable too
-
Too much firepower on this offense. Reminds me of the 2019 one with all those studs. This lineup may even be deeper We used a lot of arms last night but I guess that’s fine when u got a guy like Valincius who can give u 7 good innings the next day. I think we’ll bounce back tonight
