  1. Can’t believe Lane & grown up Bobby Hill were able to go for 400+ on OU’s defense. Venables is a mastermind
  2. As far as week 13 goes. We have a very rare instance in which the Big 10 actually has a meaningful game this year : Indiana - Oregon Mich - OSU next week. But now we have USC @ Oregon -10.5. Haven’t seen either team play this year. Hoping Oregon eliminates USC from playoff contention so another SEC team can get in. Oregon 30 - USC 15 - 6.5 Oklahoma - Mizzou. OU shuts down Ahmad Hardy and wins 24-9 Tennessee -3.5 at Florida. This is a suspect line. Vegas must know something. Give me Florida 35-28 Arkansas at Texas -9.5. The rivalry’s back. Arkansas keeps this game close but Texas wins in a shootout. Texas 45- Ark 38 Upset of the week: Kentucky beats Vandy 17-14 and ends Vandy playoff hopes
  3. I think Lane genuinely doesn’t know what to do. We gotta remember he’s human too with more pressure on him than 99% of the population can even comprehend. One of his former players told me he’s a little neurodivergent so he may not fully understand how he’s appearing to the public about this situation haha
  4. I think a win vs Auburn clinches a spot for them. There’s no way to overlook their resume for 3 losses.
  5. And yet he’s doing more with less this year. Yea he hasn’t won anything yet. But ask every single opponent’s coach who they’re worried about when they play Ole Miss. It’s Lane Kiffin. He’s the best play caller in the game and a heck of a recruiter. No doubt in my mind he’s gonna have 2 more rings on his fingers by the time he retires
  6. I’m with you. This rebuilds gonna have to be built off players like Brenan Thompson. 3 Star gems. That’s a tough task but Lebby’s shown he can find them. If we can be ranked next year then the 4 stars will start rolling in. Right now I’m on board with Lebby. I believe he can find an OLine and find some solid receivers. The thing that’ll make or break his time in Starkville is finding a DC who can atleast be an average SEC defense
  7. I get that you’re not being dealt the best cards for Hutzler. But giving up that much in big SEC games is abysmal. He’s done a fine job creating turnovers this year in the backend with all the nonstop disguises and blitzes. Still that’s not gonna get it done. There’s no possible way State can win football games with that defense. There’s still a way to bring hope into next year by playing Ole Miss tough. Kiffin’s offenses don’t travel well compared to their home games. Let Kamario take the lead and if you lose by 1 score then you finish the year with a B- grade. let’s be real here. State’s punched well above their weight in a couple games this year. We can’t let this absolute landslide of a final stretch overshadow that. I think regardless of how the egg bowl goes u gotta be excited for year 3 hoping the same improvement from last year shows up again next year
  8. Back to back 300 yard rushing games given up. Ark ran for 240 too. That’s an immediate firing at any other SEC school. They’ll probably mark it down as a personnel issue to keep Hutzler around another year
  9. They did. I fully expect them to drop to around #9 and move behind Georgia in the SEC rankings. But with the expanded playoff I think it’s more about who can pop at the right time. A lot like the NFL. Think of the Chiefs. Doesn’t matter if they’ve lost 6 games in the regular season. They’ll be favored against almost everyone in the playoffs. Ohio State last year, lost to Oregon and Michigan but we knew they have the ability to pop because they’re so talented with elite coaching. I think Bama fits that mold
  10. Deboers teams are a wildcard. They show up for 1 half and look like 2019 LSU then the next 6 quarters they play like a Low-tier SEC team. Thankfully for Deboer the talent can make up for all the inconsistency. I still think this Bama team is #2 in the SEC. They played a terrible game and only lost by 2 to #11
  11. Daniel Hill has brought some life to Bama’s run game. Nothing is going Bama’s way and they’re still only down by 3 at half
  12. Ole Miss - Florida: Lane doesn’t lose at home. 42-21 Rebs State-Mizzou: Bad matchup stylistically for the Dawgs: State gets gashed back to back weeks giving up 200 yards rushing again. 35-24 Mizzou Bama-OU: I’m calling a OU upset right here. Bama just can’t run the ball and idk if Ty can be Superman again against this defense. Sooners take down the tide 28-24 Texas-Georgia: Arch is the only reason this team is winning ball games. Story of the week. #16 plays the best game a QB has all year and takes down the Dawgs 42-35
  13. I think there’s a 50% he goes 3/4 on State Championships in the next 4 years. A big salary can’t buy that. That’s probably what keeps him in Heidelberg for a while. But he’s still a big candidate for some bigger schools
  14. Floridas probably the 3rd or 4th best job right now. I’d be worried about LSU as a Ole Miss fan
  15. With this market rn, I wouldn’t grow attached too him within the next couple months
  16. I like the current situation going on of both guys playing. Shapen is an above average QB, not great and not bad. Right now he’s the most comfortable guy to roll with. But as you said, Kamario’s ceiling is higher and we’re not playing for a playoff spot right now so may as well get him in. The big difference between the two is Lebby’s had two years to call plays behind Shapen. It’s almost a completely different offense when Kamario’s in the game because of he’s so gifted as a runner along with his limitations as a passer. I think we finish the year letting both guys play. We’re not seeing a huge drop off when either guy is in. They both bring their own spark to the offense and I guarantee defenses hate having to prep for both guys
  17. Georgia just rushed for 300 on us. That’s another stylistic nightmare. This far into the season I’m sure everyone knows If you’re throwing the ball against us you’re only hurting yourself. Now the back-end is night and day difference from last year. OL and DL are the biggest holes to fill during portal season Edit: Maybe we can load the box bc their QB isn’t great. Forgot about that
  18. Top 3 Gus Johnson call OAT for sure haha
  19. Unbelievable way to win in the Indiana game. I’m afraid of what’s gonna happen when Cignetti gets his hands on some 4 and 5 stars
  20. State - Georgia: Mississippi State is good enough to beat a top 10 team. But this is one of the teams I don’t think they could pull it off of. Georgia is great at controlling the ball and maintaining drives. Our horrendous run D doesn’t help that case. We’re gonna fight till the end but I think Georgia rushes for 200 and wins 28-18 LSU-Bama: Bamas coming off maybe the toughest 5 game stretch in CFB this year. We’ll see how much they’ve recovered in the bye week. I think LSU is fired up and plays hard to keep this game until the 4th. Ty Simpson clutches up again late and wins 24-17 Auburn-Vandy: Similar situation to LSU, I think Auburn comes out fired up and keeps this game close. But I’ll take Vandy 24-21 Upset of the week: Mizzou takes down A&M. I just don’t trust A&M as a top 3 team. I felt the same way about Miami. Mizzou is a top 15 team and could beat anybody. Give me Mizzou 30-20
  21. Pressing the reset button every 2 years is the quickest way to hit rock bottom for a program. I mean just look at what States done. Floridas guilty of it too and look how underwhelming they’ve been the past decade. I’m not gonna say Hugh did a good job at Auburn. But he brought in a ridiculous amount of talent and could be 7-1 if the ball rolled his way a little in these close games. It’s not like it’s year 5 and they still haven’t got the ball rolling.
  22. You’re right. It worked out well for State. I’d bet Lebby adds more to the script for Kamario this week. Having to prepare for 2 different styles of offense can be stressful for defenses, especially when you’re not even certain Kamario will play through a whole drive. We’ll see what Kirby says in the presser about it
  23. Down goes the Freeze. Not a fan of this decision. He was 1 decent offensive coordinator and a Qb from being a top 20 team. Should’ve waited another year to do it. They must already have someone in mind since they decided to do it in this years market
  24. Dang right about them being resilient. May not mean much nowadays but If Lebby builds this program into a contender it will be a game changer. Just look at Georgia, if you’re not up by 10 at half then go ahead and mark it down as a loss. The outcomes haven’t been joyful, but that’s something good take away from this year and last year
