  1. Deboers teams are a wildcard. They show up for 1 half and look like 2019 LSU then the next 6 quarters they play like a Low-tier SEC team. Thankfully for Deboer the talent can make up for all the inconsistency. I still think this Bama team is #2 in the SEC. They played a terrible game and only lost by 2 to #11
  2. Daniel Hill has brought some life to Bama’s run game. Nothing is going Bama’s way and they’re still only down by 3 at half
  3. Ole Miss - Florida: Lane doesn’t lose at home. 42-21 Rebs State-Mizzou: Bad matchup stylistically for the Dawgs: State gets gashed back to back weeks giving up 200 yards rushing again. 35-24 Mizzou Bama-OU: I’m calling a OU upset right here. Bama just can’t run the ball and idk if Ty can be Superman again against this defense. Sooners take down the tide 28-24 Texas-Georgia: Arch is the only reason this team is winning ball games. Story of the week. #16 plays the best game a QB has all year and takes down the Dawgs 42-35
  4. I think there’s a 50% he goes 3/4 on State Championships in the next 4 years. A big salary can’t buy that. That’s probably what keeps him in Heidelberg for a while. But he’s still a big candidate for some bigger schools
  5. Floridas probably the 3rd or 4th best job right now. I’d be worried about LSU as a Ole Miss fan
  6. With this market rn, I wouldn’t grow attached too him within the next couple months
  7. I like the current situation going on of both guys playing. Shapen is an above average QB, not great and not bad. Right now he’s the most comfortable guy to roll with. But as you said, Kamario’s ceiling is higher and we’re not playing for a playoff spot right now so may as well get him in. The big difference between the two is Lebby’s had two years to call plays behind Shapen. It’s almost a completely different offense when Kamario’s in the game because of he’s so gifted as a runner along with his limitations as a passer. I think we finish the year letting both guys play. We’re not seeing a huge drop off when either guy is in. They both bring their own spark to the offense and I guarantee defenses hate having to prep for both guys
  8. Georgia just rushed for 300 on us. That’s another stylistic nightmare. This far into the season I’m sure everyone knows If you’re throwing the ball against us you’re only hurting yourself. Now the back-end is night and day difference from last year. OL and DL are the biggest holes to fill during portal season Edit: Maybe we can load the box bc their QB isn’t great. Forgot about that
  9. Top 3 Gus Johnson call OAT for sure haha
  10. Unbelievable way to win in the Indiana game. I’m afraid of what’s gonna happen when Cignetti gets his hands on some 4 and 5 stars
  11. State - Georgia: Mississippi State is good enough to beat a top 10 team. But this is one of the teams I don’t think they could pull it off of. Georgia is great at controlling the ball and maintaining drives. Our horrendous run D doesn’t help that case. We’re gonna fight till the end but I think Georgia rushes for 200 and wins 28-18 LSU-Bama: Bamas coming off maybe the toughest 5 game stretch in CFB this year. We’ll see how much they’ve recovered in the bye week. I think LSU is fired up and plays hard to keep this game until the 4th. Ty Simpson clutches up again late and wins 24-17 Auburn-Vandy: Similar situation to LSU, I think Auburn comes out fired up and keeps this game close. But I’ll take Vandy 24-21 Upset of the week: Mizzou takes down A&M. I just don’t trust A&M as a top 3 team. I felt the same way about Miami. Mizzou is a top 15 team and could beat anybody. Give me Mizzou 30-20
  12. Pressing the reset button every 2 years is the quickest way to hit rock bottom for a program. I mean just look at what States done. Floridas guilty of it too and look how underwhelming they’ve been the past decade. I’m not gonna say Hugh did a good job at Auburn. But he brought in a ridiculous amount of talent and could be 7-1 if the ball rolled his way a little in these close games. It’s not like it’s year 5 and they still haven’t got the ball rolling.
  13. You’re right. It worked out well for State. I’d bet Lebby adds more to the script for Kamario this week. Having to prepare for 2 different styles of offense can be stressful for defenses, especially when you’re not even certain Kamario will play through a whole drive. We’ll see what Kirby says in the presser about it
  14. Down goes the Freeze. Not a fan of this decision. He was 1 decent offensive coordinator and a Qb from being a top 20 team. Should’ve waited another year to do it. They must already have someone in mind since they decided to do it in this years market
  15. Dang right about them being resilient. May not mean much nowadays but If Lebby builds this program into a contender it will be a game changer. Just look at Georgia, if you’re not up by 10 at half then go ahead and mark it down as a loss. The outcomes haven’t been joyful, but that’s something good take away from this year and last year
  16. Guess Lebby was having a hard time calling plays for Kamario. Hope he doesn’t get poached by a bigger program in the offseason. Excited to see the offense be built around him next year
  17. That Kamario Taylor drive single handedly just reignited interest all over Mississippi for the program
  18. Miami goes down. This might open the door for a 3 loss SEC team to slip into a playoff spot. We only had 3 playoff teams last year. We could have 5 this year
  19. Trinidad’s a Senior. Doubt he transfers. He pretty much has the job next year unless Lane lands someone big in the portal Barring Lane Kiffin stays at OM
  20. Talent fluctuates strangely every few years. Good group coming up in abt 2 or 3 years. Southeast rarely has talent. Idk what the deal with Clarkdale is. They’ve never been good until recently
  21. Lebby’s not winning games but the improvement from last year is in plain sight. IMO at a place like Ms State that’s all u can ask for in year 2. Remember he’s having to do more with less. We likely have the smallest blue chip % out of anybody in the SEC. If the same scenario is playing out next year then it’s reasonable to be asking questions about a leadership change, but rn a little patience is needed. Let me throw in the fact this is his first HC job also, which can be a reason for the poor management in tight games
  22. If I were him I’d be asking for 6 salaries
  23. Well those Nintendo players have been a top tier program for the past decade and a half
  24. Daniel’s emerging as the #2 for Bama. So I’d expect him to get more meaningful time as the year goes on. Also that’s interesting about their father. I knew he coached at Meridian and had heard he was a good ball player. Found an article on him from 1986. 6’4 230 - Benched 370 and ran a 4.59 Thats absurd numbers in 1986 Sounds like academics held him back in college
