The NCAA hit back today. Just being honest, don’t like Chambliss’s chances this time. Sucks for Ole Miss, but it’s good that the NCAA can actually establish some barriers
-
Is it crazy to think Southern legitimately is a National contender this year? I mean I know it was a midweek game, but it feels like they’re top 20 talent wise, pitching and hitting I don’t think they could beat State in a series, but they looked legit

Both of these teams are living up to the # beside their names. Great ball being played
-
Charlie Weis Jr is the biggest missing piece by far. But I think the guy from ECU should cover some of that wound up. ECU had a very good offense this past year. The LBs from Cal and Baylor are 2 very underrated pickups. I think Pete continued the tradition of dominating the portal pretty well but yea sustaining that amount of success with so many new faces just isn’t realistic in one year

SOH name calling certainly doesn’t help its chances

As far as his reforms rant on the calendar, and NIL. They should definitely take into consideration a lot of what he’s saying -

Doubt the NCAA wants to open up that box -
If other states are hopping on board, we don’t want our top players moving across state lines to get these deals. Obviously this degrades the culture, but we gotta keep up with the times

What a year it was

Contender every year or flash in the pan

Those are fighting words haha. Top to bottom, the SEC remains the toughest conference. From a week to week basis, the SEC is the toughest just simply based off talent and sheer allocation of resources towards football. We will also continue to put more players in the NFL. We just haven’t had 1 particular team that dominates like Georgia or Alabama as of late. Idc abt the bowl records or whatever other narratives the anti-SEC obsessed Redditors continue to share. We will remain the top conference until the B1G can beat us in a plethora of things, not just recent championships -
We are witnessing history

They handle extra years out like candy nowadays so I wouldn’t be worried -

Ole Miss got the 2 main pieces coming back. If only they could’ve kept Weis Jr they could’ve completed the Holy Trinity -
Imagine getting a Time Machine and going back to 2020 to tell people the 2025 National Championship would be Ole Miss vs Indiana
-
1st round bye teams are now 0-5. If that trend follows tmr its time for a 16 team playoff
-
There’s so many Elite defenses in this playoff
-
Guess the SEC isn’t gonna win a bowl game this year Georgia - Ole Miss: Simple equation. Georgia is better. Ole Miss is worse. Georgia 35 Ole Miss 20 Bama - Indiana: I still look as the Indiana as the little guy. This will probably blow up in my face but I think theTalent disparity is just too much for a playoff game. Bama 20 - Indiana 10 Oregon - Texas Tech: Toughest game to pick for me. Idrk know how good Oregon is. I know Texas Tech may have the best defense in this whole thing. Give me Tech 24-10 Ohio State - Miami: Everything points toward Ohio State but people forget how talented this Miami team is. This is a closer game than people think. But still I’ll take Ohio State 24-21
-
Forget records or conference champions. Put the best 12 in. Hell the 1st round byes are prolly hurting the teams more than helping with the long layover. Expand it to 16 and have no byes
-
Indiana opens -7. Can’t understand how with that talent disparity
-
Wouldn’t be surprised if they crawl theirselves into the title game. But the real national championship will be 3rd round Georgia vs Ohio State
-
Golding has handled the press conferences well. I wouldn’t call him a premier DC. But he’s decent for SEC standards.Considering he’s had 7 years exp at blue blood coordinator positions, he has the resume for a head coaching job at a job like Ole Miss. I think the make or break thing for him is gonna be recruiting, but Ole Miss is one of the those colleges that punches well above its weight as far as NIL goes so that helps
-
Franks a great recruiter. That RB room has been loaded since he’s been at LSU
-
Hattiesburg’s gonna need their golf courses to ban him if they expect him to win there
-
State opens up -3. This game may just be a matter of who’s more cohesive within the next month. State’s bringing in a new DC and has lost some players to the portal. Not sure what WF’s situation is
-
Didn’t realize they were 8-4. And Wow what a strange resume. If I were to guess States gonna be around a -5 favorite? We’re not very good. But we’re not lose to a middle-of-the pack ACC team bad
