The thing I’m most optimistic with this Ole Miss portal class is it consist of mostly two to three year eligible guys. Do these guys stay without transferring until then we won’t know. However this is the type of class Kiffin pulled in few years ago that a bunch of this year’s guys came from.

Apparently a judge temporarily ruled that Diego Pavia is eligible next year based on the rationale that JUCO years do not count toward eligibility.

If that’s the case…. Pandora’s Box is wiiiiiiiide open now.

Most definitely opens Pandora's box. This is an asinine ruling.  What now keeps a player that played two years at Juco, then a year or two at a Power 4 school, then gets drafted or signs a free agent deal and gets cut after a year or two from saying hey I have two years of eligibility left because my Juco years didn't count. So now I should be allowed to play two more years of college football. Hopefully that judge, or an appellate will come to there senses and overturn the decision.

Chad Kelley will be QB1 at Ole Miss next year!**

I vomit a little in my mouth as I write this but State has done a solid job sewing up their defensive probs with the portal. Derion Gullette and Jalen Smith helps to load up at LB. Both are guys who others will laugh at their stats but they have a good upside. Also, I’ve been a big fan of Redd Hibbler while he was at NC State.

I agree. Lebby is doing about as good or better than anyone could expect.  They claim they are after a few guys who are on teams that are still playing.  Getting more quality players might be the difference in 3 or 4 wins next year and 5 or 6 wins.

I hate when opposing fans look at stats and talk trash, but it’s of guys who came out of high school with bunch of potential and still has 3 years left. That same guy is a big reason of why their school’s high school recruiting ranking was as high as it was. Only thing I worry about just as I’ve stated with Ole Miss’ portal haul this year is in this day and age are they going to stay put.

Look at the playoff teams this year. How many relied heavily on the portal? I think almost every team did it with the majority of the players they recruited and signed. Maybe a portal guy in a few spots. I'm not bashing OM but how many portal guys did they have?  Or let me say 1st year portal guys, I don't really consider Dart a portal guy, he transferred after his FR. year and stayed 3 years.

What if I were to tell you that 8 of the 12 playoff teams have spent more NIL money on portal guys that they have on their current roster than Ole Miss? Don’t let the social media narrative fool you.

You’d never get an actual number unless you know Dick’s and C Spire’s CEO.

I've heard $1.5 million for Dart... I've heard LOTS of different numbers though... that's the highest I've heard. I figure it's closer to $1 million but that's only a guess.

It’s around $1.5 million. Rest was him getting stuff on his own through agent for autograph showings at Rebel Rags, Kroger and stuff like that. Folks say we had a 15-20 mil team this year when we actually was under 10 and not even in top twenty of money spent on NIL. Found ways around things that the collective didn’t have to spend. Big reason we can keep doing this year in year out because we know how the system works. Kiffin is a lot smarter than just X’s and O’s.

Oooooo I wonder if that’s who the SMU coach is complaining about while everyone thinks it’s Kiffin.

still no word on who SMU is complaining about but the msu folks say they are on some current  texas and tennessee players yet to be named.
