All they see is that five star by his name. He’s still very much raw. If you tell them though they just respond with “you’re just butthurt”. IMO Kamario Taylor is more college ready.

Unless the switch just flips for him, I do not see Deuce ever really being that good at the college level honestly. He can throw a "go" route as good as anyone I have seen, but you need A LOT more than that to be successful at the P4 level.

With the court ruling last year, that athletes can transfer as many times as they want without losing eligibility, this will be the norm from now on. If they are going to be paid, schools need figure out a way to have multi year contracts signed by the athlete with some sort of $$ penalty if they leave before end of the contract.

I’m almost getting to the point with bowl games of is there even a point anymore? Like assuming Dart plays probably going to get an Ole Miss team with a lot of outgoing guys versus Duke’s B team. It’s a team that will look a good bit different next year versus a team who will not really look like what they were during the season. Why should the casual fan care about this game?

The thing that really grinds my gears is when these guys announce they’re going into the transfer portal, they end it with #GodsPlan. I don’t think God told you to go to 4 different colleges in 4 years. Doubt he said thou shalt chase the bag my son.

All the opt outs to me just signals the need for structured contracts for these players. If you are healthy and being paid, you play every game your team has. You sign a 2 year contract worth $750,000, you play every game for 2 years. It is no longer amateur sports. It is time to stop treating it that way.

It appears Kevin Coleman is entering the portal. He will have some major options I imagine. Huge loss for State if he’s not back.

Next year is going to be another bad year for State.  They will struggle to exceed this year’s win total unless there’s some drastic improvement via the portal.  How are you supposed to build a solid program if players can up and leave whenever they want?

It’s an easy system to dislike but other schools are figuring out how to manage it. State has no choice but to figure it out too.

That's what I was told. Also heard State actually offered him a better deal to stay than he's getting from MO, but he's from St. Louis so he's basically going home.

I didn't get to watch much of MSU this year, they played at the same time as Ole Miss mostly. From what I did watch, I was impressed with Coleman.

Been getting a kick out of LSU fans today talking about Womack because of his stats. We heard the same about Nolan’s stats last year. We heard the same about Umanmielen from Florida fans and Amos from Bama fans. Now all three are All SEC 1st Team projected first round guys. Let Golding work. Going to land Princewill Umanmielen as well who #1 Edge in the portal. Might not click next year but both guys have two years left so there’s plenty of upside there for the future. 
 

Right now I’m just patiently waiting on if Poo is returning for his senior season. Will easily be #38 next season and can go down as one of the best Ole Miss LB’s ever. His dad has been the best recruiter we’ve had the last couple weeks.

Arnold visiting Auburn today and supposed to be in Starkville tomorrow. State’s staff still feels confident. We shall see.

I think by the end of this portal season it looks like Arkansas is going to be Ole Miss’ farm system. The way it’s looking I expect 4-5 former Razorbacks. How that turns out product wise, we’ll see.

Eric Singleton Jr visiting Oxford this weekend. Just drop a bag so he doesn’t go anywhere else for a visit. I hate having the first visit. It’s like a silent auction during NIL days.
