2 schools are in Louisiana and I don't see them leaving except to LHSAA. I don't believe it's a travel issue down south except for the playoffs.

I don't see the MHSAA ever allowing any out of state schools into the Association.

Rumor has the MAIS schools as Adams County, Bayou, Columbus Heritage, Copiah, Simpson and Starkville. PCS has already started the process of leaving and joining the MHSAA. There has been no total confirmation of this rumor that I know of. The Louisiana schools have been talking about going to the LHSAA, not the MHSAA.

We need to wait on confirmation from MHSAA.

You can look at the MHSAA reclassification list to see who has submitted. Right off the bat I see PCS.

I'd be surprised if ACCS doesn't have Ferriday and Vidalia kids.

If they do that has to stop or MHSAA is about to reverse the rule. Heritage can and may have Alabama players.

Private school football is turning into what current college football has devolved into. Thanks to schools like Hartfield. It's really not fair for them to compete in any class other than one where all teams buy players.

Hartfield is probably doing more harm to Pearl and NW Rankin.

The deadline to submit form was at midnight last night with numbers and sports you will be participating in. 214 of 242 schools have submitted their numbers. Smith, Jasper, Scott, Rankin Counties are in with the exception of Pearl.

No but the article says the numbers will be on the form. Maybe they have to continue emailing numbers in on a daily basis thru October 1.

29 schools missed the deadline to send form in. OLA numbers could be in with St Stanislaus reducing it to 28.

Corinth seems to think they might can drop back to 4A. Caledonia seems to be moving up to 5A.

Where do I find that list?

I found it. According to the list here is who did not submit:

 

Tishomingo County

Meridian

Corinth 

West Point

after conversation with folks at both Tish and Corinth, they beg to differ. and their numbers are about the same. tish 458 corinth 462

Leake County, Lanier, Callaway, Murrah, Jim Hill, Pearl, Piney Woods, Tremont, Noxapater, Shaw, West Bolivar, Simmons, Okalona, West Tallahatchie, South Delta, Leland, Clarksdale, OLA, Mantatchie, Holly Springs, Tylertown, South Pike, Tishomingo County, Shannon, Greene County, Choctaw Central, Laurel, Pearl River Central.

Figured it was a matter of time with Mais schools moving to regional public school divisions. Driving to Jackson every other week to get your teeth kicked in gets old quick. Especially with Jackson private schools buying up all the talent. Creates a lot more parity. Good for them
