Good game in 3a I think the best teams fought it out. A couple of thoughts, 1. Mhsaa can do better with the tv coverage. 2. Did Brandon forget to get off the bus, or is the talent disparity that bad in 7a this year. Brandon looks awful. Put 8 in the box and make them throw it. 3. With the new theme of mais schools popping up and beating blue bloods of mhsaa a thing now, how fair is it? Mais schools can provide “scholarships” all they want but this is not fair. They can claim it’s needs based but I’m not buying it. Why don’t they just jump on over and play a whole public school schedule?

While I understand that the tides have changed, he has signed the top classes in recent years and has high ranked portal classes. There is no reason why USM cannot compete with like resourced college programs.

Man what has happened in Hattiesburg. USM hasn’t even been competitive in their three division 1 games this year. I thought Hall would be the guy to get it done after 2022 season but they have been terrible. Barring a miracle, his days have to be numbered.

Figured it was a matter of time with Mais schools moving to regional public school divisions. Driving to Jackson every other week to get your teeth kicked in gets old quick. Especially with Jackson private schools buying up all the talent. Creates a lot more parity. Good for them

Unfortunately Meridian has been on the downturn post Katrina. Has turned into a mini Jackson. Bad leadership with the mayors office and especially city council. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them drop to 6a in the future. People are moving away in droves.

Give it 10 years and Sumrall will be knocking on the door of 7A if they haven’t made it by then

What get for Will Hall with Tate Rodemaker. That Wards Big One NIL unlimited card gets them every time. In all seriousness USM needs to be in the hunt for the SunBelt West next year or he should see the door. Best QB we have had on campus since Hall has been there.
