Some MHSAA schools don't want to play MHSAA now aka Bay Springs/Forest not playing. Bay Springs excuse was our players get hurt vs Raleigh.

Their best bet is to score from 20 yards out. Last year Raleigh got flag after and scored but it was called back inside the 15.

My guess is MHSAA had to ma K e a decision based on the handbook rules.

Region 2 6A schools had no open date the last 5 weeks of the schedule without everyone redoing their schedules. MHSAA should have them play an independent schedule for 1 year. Hopefully North Tippah, Leflore County Central will both began play in region play in 2027. And yes Greenwood, Amanda Elzy, and Leflore County are consolidating as one with a new school being built as I write. Exact name of the school well I made that up keeping in line Holmes County Central. The district name happens to be Greenwood Laflore County School District. Maybe the coaches didn't want to redo all the schedules with an open date and probably having to play Leake Central's old opponents. MHSAA should have had all the AD's of both sitting in Clinton and hashed out schedules. At that point who would Vicksburg play. A long trip to West Lauderdale might not have them happy but it was an option obviously. I t was the timing I suppose since Leake County could have waited to July 1, 2027 to officially consolidate.

Yea couldn't tear up all the schedules and redo it. You might know if your in the playoffs before October on the other hand.

Its pretty rough right now in Magee. I'm was once told there was a lady grilling stakes at a good price. The only thing is she was marinating them in her bath tub around 2018. Then all the shooting started. No one likes the sheriff's dept.

WlBT and Magee News would have stayed out of it. They brought the schools into this whole mess. The shootings and crime has brewing for several years. Magee keeps hiring a new chief every few years. He tries to police the city. The folks are shooting right in front of town hall. They are shooting everywhere from NW of Magee all the way to Pinola in the SW part of the county. Its hard to say if its drug related, gang related or what. All i will say is they now have the attention of every police organization in Mississippi investigating.

Looks like a very long year for Quitman and West Marion.

Mancuso and Hig have evolved the Wing T into a passing game. The right qb understands the handcuffs then it works probably better than other offenses I have seen.

He's wing T throw it down the sideline a few times. When he had the OL and RB's at Bay Springs they were tough to beat.

Bottom line is D'Iberville lines are much better than last year and Raleigh is reloading on both lines.

Raleigh will be fine. D'Iberville is greatly improved on DL and OL. What Raleigh got was tough yards all night long. Raleigh had its chances to score 2 more times. D'Iberville toughened up and adjusted both drives in the red zone pushing Raleigh back. They will challenge Gulfport and may win 7A South.

If Mize can't stop the PCS passing game then it will be a long up hill battle. PCS has some big boys. Mize has to play their game and mistake free on offense. It can be a close game decided by mistakes, line control, and Mize defensive backs.

I listened to some of the MRA game up in Tennessee on the radio driving home from work last Friday. I believe they are not as good this year.

The situation from what I understand is that Forest City Schools Admin is fighting not to be consolidated with Scott County Schools. Evidently certain districts have been put on notice that multiple districts in a county is on the chopping block along with Schools below 1,000 students PreK thru 12th will have to consolidate within their district. It will be interesting come January.

Collins new coach i believe was hired after spring practice was over for most. So that can be playing a roll in the offensive scheme right now.

No confidence in receivers, no confidence in qb throwing, no confidence in line blocking or holding back not showing hand for future opponent.

I read article yesterday from a Jackson TV station in a meeting in June. Those districts multiple in a county such as Scott, Newton, Clarke, Jasper Counties and schools to be closed or consolidated will be tied to the school choice bill that will be brought up again.
