Shannon about to be 5a

If Shannon moves up to 5A, then that means the area around Tupelo is growing.  They could probably use a bigger stadium if they make the move, but then again that could be something in the works as well.  That big green pasture that’s nearby looks like a prime candidate.

Nah, Tupelo went up in price for out of district people, so everyone going back to Shannon.   They just re-did the Shannon field.

East Union is at 206? Thats gonna be 2A

East Union

2022 207 large 2A

2023 221 #41 in 3A however PCS throws a wrinkle into the process. I had St Andrew's as 221 in 2022. 2023 is ??? If both tied at 221 then both go up. However both going up was under a different administration and board. It's still possible both, neither, or 1 goes up.

My 3A/2A:

3A.                              2022.    2023

#37 Collins.                 206.      226

#38 Wesson.               227.      225

#39 Scott Central.      186.      223

#40 St Andrew's.         221.      ???

#41 East Union.          207.      221

2A.

#1 Hatley.                     212.      219

#2 Wilkinson County  205.      217

#3 Clarkdale.               204.      215

#4 Perry Central.         222.      214

#5  O'Bannon.              193.      213

It's razor thin and and left to what they report on or around October 1.

Heard that there were 5-6 5A MAIS schools in the process of trying to join the MHSAA. Can't remember all of them and don't want to post just a partial list. Anyone else hearing this?

Simpson was the only school mentioned earlier about going independent because of something rinky dink playoff Round. I think MAIS has sence changed their approach. Cathedral is not likely to change due to not being able to recruit out of Louisiana. They have about 3 weeks to announce or may be playing independent unless MHSAA delays the reclassification numbers.
