The offensive and defensive lines for Charleston should be very solid. But you lost all of your offensive production from the skill positions. And two of them were 3 year starters. It’s very hard to replace that kind of production.

Well that will be tougher to recover from but I believe most everybody in 2A north loses more than Baldwyn does so I think they still are the favorites at least up north. I’m still curious what Northside has returning.

I coached one of those defensive linemen in youth football. He went to school at mize, got recruited and moved to Hattiesburg. He’s a beast. And a good kid too. I coached youth football for over a decade and there have only been 2 players that I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt would go D1 after high school and he was one of them.

That’s not really losing that much. That’s only 4 on offense, and one on defense. I believe they only had 5 or 6 seniors on the team last year according to their roster on maxpreps. Now it all of those seniors started on both sides of the ball, then that would be a little bit bigger loss. I don’t know if they did or not though.

As usual, you are wrong. If I had to guess, Heidelberg will be preseason #1 just because they have Craft, Moore, and McKenzie coming back. But they lost a lot of starters from their team last year. Same with East Webster. They return a good QB, but they lose everyone around him on both sides of the ball. Baldwyn returns almost their entire squad.

I thought they were undersized compared to previous years. Are they going up or down in enrollment ?

Heidelberg should still be pretty explosive on offense. Defense will have alot of new faces.

I think they will be the 2A North favorites for sure. Maybe even the 2A overall favorites, who knows.

I think this one will go differently than last season unless Hattiesburg uses this as to get younger guys a lot of playing time
