I really think people need to check the numbers that Heidelberg turns in. There is no way that school is that close to 1A numbers.

I think they may beat bay springs and clarkdale if they stay healthy. They could also lose to bay springs and clarkdale too

Mize will need to avoid turnovers to have a chance at winning. Last year in this game we had 4 turnovers and ended up losing by 5 points.

You are right. And I get that the larger schools are gonna get most of the coverage. In the MSGridiron preseason rankings and coverage, they had one of our players as one of the top defensive linemen to watch in the state, and he isn’t even in school anymore. He hasn’t been in school since Christmas break of last year. And they still had him mentioned as one of our best players in their write up last week with our game against PCS. He quit school back in December and went and got a job.

People really just shouldn’t cover the small schools if you don’t anything about them. Wesson has never even played Heidelberg in 2A. They definitely didn’t play them last year. Wesson lost to Mize last year.

Mississippi doesn’t utilize kickers enough. There is somebody walking the halls of every single school they can make a dang extra point. Our kicker kicked a 49 yarder this past Friday night that would have been good from 55

I’m going to say you could be right about the teams in 2A North. Only other teams in the mix would be Charleston, Northside, and Baldwyn. But the top 2 right now I think would be east Webster and Kemper. I’m still not completely sold on East Webster, because I think Choctaw county is not near as good as people thought there were gonna be. But I’m sold on their QB. Kemper has a dynamic offense, but they need to get better on defense

Turnovers did Mize in. First turnover led to a PCS score and the last turnover was a fumble on about the 5 yard line on 1st and goal with 1 minute left. Several players down with cramps. Great game, just couldn’t finish.
