I think a lot of people thought Boswell was going to promote him last year before they hired Carr. Carr leaving after 1 year probably made the decision very easy.

They were really bad last year. Their worst season in a while. I think they had a lot of trouble hiring someone last time. Several people turned it down.

Yep a job gets posted and almost immediately "it is so and so's job to turn down." If it is anyone else it either a surprise or someone will question the choice.

Some of those are surprising especially with the huge pay raise that comes with it. I guess Dillion Mitchell, Darryl Carter, college coaches like Clinton, etc.

I am not sure if it can be turned around. Ed Stanley didn't win there. They had 9 wins one year and still didn't make the playoffs.

He left to be the Super at Enterprise so I highly doubt he comes back. He is a really good football coach though.
