With spring training right around the corner, who is playing where?

Lawrence County has been pretty quiet. Any word out of there?

As far as I know they do for public school. I cannot speak on private school.

Some of those have already been filled. Some for a long time.

It is the beginning of March, what head coaching jobs are still open? Are there some that have not been mentioned lately or some jobs that are flying under the radar?

Then you are not a competitor. That game is to showcase the top high school athletes of both states and a chance for them to compete with and against each other.

Jack Wright is not leaving Gulf Coast for a high school job. He is at one of the top JUCO programs in the state and has had plenty of success. I doubt he would want to leave the coast for Jackson area anyway.

Vance is an excellent choice for Meridian. He will be able to rally kids and put together a team on the field that the community will be proud of.

I am reading all these comments and it is apparent, according to this thread, that the opinion on the hire was to "steady a ship." Why pull someone out of retirement when there are plenty of proven coaches at lower level schools that could raise this program in the next few years, if not sooner?

Not a lot of people believed me when I said Mize would beat Wesson, but here we are!

I honestly would not consider this an upset. Mize has a very solid team. Wesson played arguable the biggest cupcake schedule in the state. Mize winning is not an upset.
