Personally, I wish they would do away with the mandantory post game handshake. You never see a required handshake at the college and pro level. In my opinion only bad things can happen. You have the winner who wants to celebrate, but also the loser that is just ready to go.

Is there a timetable on when all this will be resolved?

If they go to super 16 in MAIS it will kill some of the traditional powers in the lower classes.

I could see some districts in south Mississippi getting out Thursday just due to the fact of high wind gust and spin up tornadoes. High wind gust can affect busses because they are top heavy. Also some southern school districts may get out around lunch tomorrow if winds are already starting to pick up.

Hope everyone had a happy memorial day ! Just curious did any of you have a family member serve in the military during war time . My grandfather was in the army air corps during ww2 . My wife’s grandfather served in North Africa during ww2. Also she had two uncles serve during the Vietnam war .

It’s sad seeing Moss Point on a downward trajectory. I remember watching them in the mid to late 90’s . They ran out some really really good teams .

It’s not uncommon for head coaches to call one side of the ball and give the title to somebody . Hack Marcus boyles has long had a oc on paper but I am sure there are years where he has called the offense . I think McDonald called the defense this year at tville but had a dc on paper . I have no clue if the coach at Columbia called the defense , it doesn’t really matter though.

It’s a top 10 job in the state . Regardless of classification .

Not as bad as you think, and I am not talking about doing away with the spring ball in general. Most coaches I have talked to would rather treat it like a NFL mini camp sessions. They can have a few days in the spring and but also have a few days in the summer where they can have a padded mini camp. For instance, a coach can take five to six days in spring and then take a few more select days in the summer.

I bet if yo silently polled high school coaches 90% would tell you they really wish spring football would be done away with.
