Brandon High School has a job vacancy for an Athletic Director/Head Football Coach.
In keeping a tradition of excellence, the Athletic Director will provide maximum participation for students in interscholastic athletics and activities using the safest and most effective coaching and training methods. Further, the Athletic Director will oversee the development and implementation of a stellar, comprehensive high school athletic and activities programs that reflect RCSD’s tradition of excellence.
Duties and responsibilities:
● Maintains files and records required by policy, regulation, law and good practice
● Serves as game administrator during school events as designated by the principal
● Attends booster meetings as assigned by the principal
● Responds to requests for information in a timely manner
● Implements board policies and the policies of MHSAA advises the administration on legal matters related to athletics and/or activities
● Assesses department needs through consultation with students, staff, parents and develops policy recommendations for the Board’s consideration and action
● Demonstrates vision through annual and long-range strategic plan for growing and advancing the program
● Evaluates the extra-curricular activities and athletic programs
● Develops and updates brochures, social media messages, handbooks, and policy manuals for all sports/extra-curricular programs that report to the AD
● Conducts research related to athletic programs and implements relevant, proven strategies and practices
● Keeps the school community informed and excited about the extracurricular activities and athletic programs
● Engages in fiscal planning-both short and long-range

Athletic Director/ Teacher/Coach Job Description
● Serves as a consultant in the selection of supplies and materials
● Supervises all ticket sales and fund-raising events of the athletic program
● Oversees the appropriate receipt and disbursement of student activity cash funds
● Supervises and guides the fiscal planning/execution of all parent volunteer organizations supporting the high school athletic program
● Prepares schedules for use of facilities
● Issues timely announcements of upcoming events and deadlines
● Organizes and administers the overall program of extracurricular athletics for the school
● Coordinates officials, team physicians, supervisors and law enforcement/security, for supervision of contests
● Arranges transportation for athletic contest participants

.● Organizes, plans and coordinates departmental awards including recognition of alumni, former coaches, and staff.
● Interacts and aides in the development of feeder programs.
● Plans and supervises an annual recognition program for school athletes.
● Keeps records of the results of school athletic contests, and maintains a record file of all award winners, stating the date and type of award, including athletic scholarships.
● Interacts with students to encourage performance at their highest level.
