He apparently got mad about State bringing in Pounders at his position and said I’m out. Which is his prerogative. But he also hasn’t shown that he’s all that good at this point. Supposedly momma got involved and wanted 1 million +. Was told he can get going with those demands. Idk about the locker room stuff but I’ve yet to hear one person take up for him as a team player. Was also told that Etienne going to Georgia was about a 350k deal and that is about the market. Good riddance for him if he wants to walk from what is at Ole Miss. we shall see if he will be back. New deal was agreed to and now he wants 1.2 million. I've also heard his mom is a driving force in upping the number, I don't blame her for doing her best to get her son paid (I don't blame Q either FWIW). I have zero idea how much any of this is true, but we're hearing similar things. IF someone offers Q 1.2 million, he should take it and best of luck to him. I don't think it's in Ole Miss's best interest to offer that for him considering OL and other holes needing filling to possibly compete for the playoffs next year. The one rumor I've heard you didn't mention, Colorado. With Coach "Prime" and his connections, Q could likely get some endorsement deals to get that that 1.2 million. Good for Q IF he gets that. In regards to Etienne getting $350k, I talked to an SEC coach recently (not football) that said some of the traditional powerhouse programs aren’t throwing around big NIL deals because too many top prospects still want to go to their programs. You still have players there making 7 figures, but it’s because the player is at that school and not a payout to get the player there. Probably close numbers all things considered. I just don’t see a better scenario all around than what he has at Ole Miss next year. I’m a Southern Miss guy, no dog in this thing. I was told his bridge is burnt at Ole Miss fas well. My source mentioned he is not very liked amongst the team. All about him, refuses to take pass blocking or anything without him involved seriously. We shall see. Yes, I was told 1.2 million was the asking price. Where there is smoke, there is fire.
