No chaos so far this weekend

It’s official. Alabama is in, Florida State is out. I get the argument for Bama but I think they botched this one. Emotional overreaction to one or two weeks. If we are going to knock FSU for how they looked against Florida and Louisville, why aren’t we knocking Bama for sneaking by USF, Arkansas, Auburn? One of those games was literally 8 days ago.

Ole Miss likely in the NY6 now with some juicy matchup possibilities. We’ll see how it pans out.

Well it was like I noted earlier. Had Bama gone 13-0 but Milroe got hurt a week or two ago and they were left out of the playoff, what would have the reaction been?

If Bama beat the #1 team with their backup QB that would have been different than beating #14, but it’s a legit question.

I honestly believe if Georgia had won, they would have put FSU in.  A clear cut 4 undefeated P5 teams.  When Georgia lost, they had the whole Bama or Texas problem, and used FSU’s QB issues as a scapegoat to put both in.

We also have a team in the top 4 that has been accused of the most elaborate sign stealing scheme in college history and the coach got  punished just 3 games and the school nothing.

Hoping it’s not the same type of outcome as the last time we played in the Peach Bowl.

My memory from that day is Ole Miss played early in the day and State played at night. TCU murdered Ole Miss and State players were trolling OM on social media and as a State fan I remember not liking that because we already lost the Egg and had a game later that night. Sure enough, State got crushed too by Georgia Tech.

That was a day that caused me to start drinking early. Unfortunately it’s the same time slot this year with the 11AM kickoff.

I was at that game with some TCU fans.  I wasn’t sure OM was going to cross midfield.

Am I the only one that is totally uninterested by this year’s slate of bowl games? I realize that my team not participating doesn’t help, but there just aren’t many games at all that catch my eye.

First one that’s kinda interesting is Arizona-Oklahoma on Dec. 28th, but after that it’s kinda just the Playoff and Ole Miss-Penn State. I just don’t see many interesting matchups this year.

Troy/Duke, JMU/AFA, UGa/FSU are three I'm going to watch

I think OM/Penn State is a good matchup.  It’s also a better matchup for Ole Miss than Ohio State or Oregon, I believe.

With the bowl games, we will have to see who plays and doesn’t play.   I’ve already read that some don’t expect a few of FSU’s defensive players to play.

Being an Air Force guy I’ll be interested to watch Air Force/JMU. Some other games I like are A&M/OK State in Houston cuz that should be a good crowd, Arizona/Oklahoma, Missouri/Ohio St, Georgia/FSU depending on how many guys don’t opt out and call me crazy but Liberty/Oregon hoping for a Boise St/Oklahoma type outcome. I would say Duke/Troy but not sure how well Duke will be with interim coach.

I’m kind of surprised an 11 win SMU team that just beat Tulane who would’ve been in a NY6 bowl with a win only got the Fenway Bowl in pretty much a home game for Boston College.
