Bulldogs4 Posted December 4, 2023 Share Posted December 4, 2023 IMO When the playoff starts, cut the bowl games down to 15 maximum. That way you have the 12 teams plus 30 deserving teams playing in bowl games. That would be the best of both worlds and get us away from the 44 bowl games that we have now. The playoffs will utilize the Sugar, Orange, Cotton, Peach, Fiesta, Rose and then either the Sun or Gator Bowl (they are the two oldest bowls after the Big 6). Then the Bowls to keep would be the Sun or Gator, Citrus, Liberty, Independence, Holiday, Reliaquest, Guaranteed Rate, Pop Tarts, Las Vegas, Alamo, Music City, Famous Idaho Potato, Hawaii, Dukes Mayo, Texas Bowl. I just based that on history as it could be tweaked some. But think it would be fun to have some bowl games interspersed with the playoff games. It changes names every couple of years, was most recently the Cheez-It Bowl and the Camping World Bowl. It’s played in Orlando. If so that would decimate Penn State’s defense losing Robinson and Dixon who are projected 1st rounders and King an early 2nd rounder. Penn State struggled offensively in the two games I watched against good teams, and they don’t have a team in the Big10 as good offensively as OM. I do think their defense is legit but with some guys out and their DC gone, who knows what that will look like. I also think their running game can give OM issues.
