rebmus
I'm rooting for all undefeated teams to lose just to see who gets "Top 4". New Mexico State/Liberty is a pretty good game so far... Liberty won't get a top 4 even if undefeated so it doesn't matter. Washington is looking strong vs Oregon so far, I'm not sure why Oregon was favored in this game. Dawg83
Washington wins and will be in the Playoff. Dillon Johnson looks like the smartest man alive for ending up the feature back on a 13-0 team while also dodging the fiasco that State was this year. Bulldogs4
Wow. I am really glad for Dillon Johnson. It was a shame in the way his time at State ended last year. 28 carries, 152 yards tonight. He was the MAN on that field. If they win the NC , it will be fine with me!!!
NoWammies
Still kind of crazy to me that Dillon Johnson and Trey Benson could go from playing in the same backfield at St. Joe to being two big contributing backs in college on teams that could make the playoffs. They were fun to watch in high school and have enjoyed seeing the success they’ve had since then.
hasbeen67
Last night was the first time I've really watched Washington. Johnson was running over people. Led me to wonder what other transfer/former high school players with Mississippi ties are still playing. Thomas I know, but I'm sure there are others. Bulldogs4
Texas wins big. Georgia up early but Bama’s window is closing even if they were to pull off the win today. Washington - in Michigan barring an Appalachian upset by Iowa is in. Florida State still has to win. Georgia loses and they are out. Texas will then be in over Bama
hasbeen67
So as an SEC homer, I need to root for Georgia if we are to get a team in CFP. Bama is a much different team than when they lost to Texas.
Bulldogs4
Bama for the win. They need a miracle Iowa & Louie-Ville to win. Otherwise the SEC is on the outside looking in.
Bulldogs4
Meanwhile in other news, East Mississippi defeated Hutchinson, KS 27-23 and will play for the Juco National Championship on December 13th. Go Lions!!!!
rebmus
Finally some chaos. With UGA losing, that opens up a spot for someone. Texas seems the logical choice. Ohio State has a good resume also. It's POSSIBLE Michigan and Florida State both lose tonight which gives us a ton of chaos outside of the obvious undefeated Washington. There has been at least 1 SEC team in the playoffs every year since it started, we may be seeing history. IF Florida State loses (that one is a tossup IMO) while Michigan wins... I'm guessing: 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. Bama IF Florida State wins, they're at #3 with Texas at #4. I'd like to see the Big10 and ACC somehow not in the 4 team playoff since those two were the reason we didn't have the 12 team playoff ready to go THIS season. maroontide06
And the SEC on CBS is officially over. Good Riddance.
NoWammies
Looks like Liberty is going to get a NY6 bowl game.
Dawg83
I think Michigan (barring a collapse), Washington, and Texas are in. If FSU loses then Bama gets the last spot. If FSU wins, it’s gonna be real interesting. I personally feel like a 13-0 FSU should be in. I know the QB injury changes who they are. But that would mean they won a road rivalry game and a neutral site game against a Top 15 team without their QB. I don’t think that should be short sold. I don’t know how you leave out a 13-0 conference champ for an SEC team when FSU is also 2-0 against the SEC. I realize that if Bama gets in the Playoff they are probably the favorite to win it. But there are four other deserving candidates that didn’t get beat on their home field, and one of them is the team that beat Bama head to head. Bulldogs4
Not sure why you guys are saying good riddance to CBS. Their production is light years better than ESPN/ABC. It was a terrible decision to not work out a deal a few years back. And for whatever reason many people don’t like Danielson but the guy is very knowledgeable and does a good job. But he doesn’t sugar coat things so most people don’t like him. He is the modern day Howard Cosell.

Bulldogs4
The ironic thing is Cosell meant that as a compliment but of course it came off as very racist.
rebmus
Michigan and Florida State won to finish undefeated. Michigan and Washington are locks for the 4 team playoff. The other two, we'll see. I'm sticking with Florida State #3 and Texas #4. No SEC team in the playoff this year.
MSTSatchmo
I could see them moving Bama ahead of FSU. With the 3rd string QB, they definitely aren’t a top 4 team, but I’m still not sure about with the 2nd string QB for FSU. He hasn’t had enough games to know. I’ll say the committee says Michigan, Washington, Texas and Bama. Peronally, I think the best four teams are Michugan, Texas, Bama and Georgia.
NoWammies
I too think if any team gets left out that it would be FSU cuz of the QB situation but then I go back and tell myself well they let Ohio St in a few years back with a 3rd string QB and they won it all. My prediction is 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. FSU 4. Texas And I think it winds up being Washington/Texas for national championship.
Bulldogs4
An undefeated P5 conference champion is not going to be left out of the playoff. Imagine the Bama meltdown if they were 13-0 but Milroe was hurt and they were left out of the playoff. FSU still earned it. And their defense is legit good. Dawg83
It’s not like Florida State fell apart when Travis got hurt. Heck, they beat a Top 15 team by double digits last night with their third string QB.
Dawg83
If you’re an Ole Miss fan that’s watching out for an NY6 bowl, I think you want Bama in the Playoff over Florida State. Florida State in the Orange Bowl would remove Louisville from the equation and bump OM up a peg.
Bulldogs4
Plus Florida State beat their rival on the road. I know UF was not very good but beating your rival on the road is still tough. Ole Miss and Bama both struggled against vastly inferior rivals on the road as well.
