Good job. Oak Grove. Both teams were well coached. Oak has a certain confidence that they will always make the play when they need it.

How the hell NFHS going to cut the whole last possession by Starkville off ?  Pathetic job Mississippi .  Whole e event took a step back this year.

Demolish the vet in Jackson, give JSU a new modern 30k capacity stadium through tax payer funds via legislature. Joint agreement. Let the state championships be played in Jackson. What a failure by MHSAA.

Turn the vet into UMMC parking, move the new facility to the baseball stadium in Lakeland. Similar to the Hoover Met.

Man.. what a year for my Grovers and what a game to get gold ball #3.

Congratulations on your big season. You were right from the start, even with a couple of bumps. One of the most talented rosters ever put on the field.

in most years the majority of the north teams are in the general proximity of Starkville and the majority of the south teams are in the general proximity of Hattiesburg. Therefore the rotation should be between MSU & USM. Or maybe have it in Meridian one year, big enough stadium, turf, plenty of hotel rooms and pretty equal distant to both north and south.

The backup QB needs polishing. He has a juco offer so there’s some potential there but I expect a drop off unless he vastly improves this offseason. We’ll probably be more of defensive team next year because we lost 3 of our top 4 pass catchers as well. We’ve done a good job of reloading but I expect some growing pains. The defense should be pretty good but we’ll have to replace about half of those guys. We’ll always be talented but we won’t be what we were this year

And even if OG happened to finish 4th in the region next season, they will still be good enough to beat the no.1 team on the coast
