Hattiesburg.  By double digits.

This is the best defense picayune will see since West Hones last year.  And it will have similar results.  Whoever thinks Brandon has a better defensive delusional.  They gave up over 40 a couple times havnt they?  Clinton went over 60, years

I don't think so Merlin. And no you can't compare Hattiesburg defense to Last year's West Jones defense if you do you are the delusional one.

Ok, keep thinking that. That arm has him at nearly 2,000yds passing

I will.  And I don’t care if the wins continue, he’s an erratic thrower.  2,000 yards is not exactly a Herculean accomplishment in this era, especially against much of the competition he’s faced.

Hattiesburg’s defense will carry it to a championship, not Vance.

1) Apart from punting, Hattiesburg’s special teams are abysmal.

2) The Hattiesburg defensive line is dominant and should pull their weight.

3) Hattiesburg doesn’t have the offensive identity of Picayune.  In fact, they don’t have an identity.  Vance’s legs are what move the chains, not his arm.

If Picayune corrals him, they win.

Honestly, hburg not having an identity isn't a bad thing. You just don't know what they will do. They might run all game or pass. Just gotta be prepared for both. But I have a clue how they will look offensively against picayune.

Which is fine. But his running ability wasnt the only thing that got him the 6a player of the year

West defense last year was better than this Hattiesburg defense.  But not that huge of a difference.  Hattiesburg does have the best defense in the state this year. And it’s more than good enough to keep picayune from making it too close.  However Picayunes defense is a veritable sieve and Hattiesburg will trash it.

That’s fair.  And I hope there’s no carry over injury from the play late in the game last night.

I didn’t have a view of it from the streaming feed but Coach Vance was very animated so the Pascagoula defender may have crossed the line.  If so, he should be disciplined.

Goula player was ejected. Goula coach apologized to coach vance and to deuce vance after the game.

Brandon gives up 21ppg. Hburg defense gives up 10. In fact Brandon gave up more points in 2 games combined than Hburg gave up the entire season.

strength of schedule. n yall strength in trenches weakness on edge n in open space. yune will expose yall weakness . i think

Hattiesburg shouldn't have to load the box.

That's really the key I think. How much will Hattiesburg have to change their base defense to stop the run?

I voted Hattiesburg in the poll, it just seems like this is their year of destiny. But, I will not be surprised at all

if the tide win. Picayune is accustomed to playing on thanksgiving weekend so much so, that I bet the AD

puts its in his yearly budget. Hattiesburg defense is the best I saw this year, but they have not faced a

offense like Picayune. They have the size and they tackle well, but it takes discipline too.

Nobody ever faces an offense like Picayune. Thats an offense you only see once a year.

Funny, that was my exact reply when someone asked me who West Jones played last week.

It seems some folks are talking the same way about this game as others were talking about the Ocean Springs/Oak Grove game. There's a reason why they still play the games and not just award the W to the "more talented" team.

I can tell you that the Hattiesburg fans are not.  In fact all season they have waited for their opponents fans or someone who has no ties at all to HHS to post something first before they reply back. Picayune is definitely on an even level with HHS talent wise.
