Besides all of the 7A South coaches, it took Chris Brooks and Friends to figure out the Final Standings for us common folks in Region 3. It should be a very interesting playoffs with more parity between the 2 regions this year than in the past. One thing comes to mind for me is I don’t think Gulfport is happy with their first round game draw. Who you got and why?

True Dub… 7A South is like a box of chocolates in both regions! Ocean Springs and Petal are the favorites no doubt about it. The playoffs will be very interesting this year.

Next week is Laurel. Then Houston. Very solid game tonight. Feel better after this one. We are maturing quickly with this good comp. Only 1 TD defensively in 2 games. Yes nice to have some key guys back and it showed.

Can’t fault your enthusiasm and in the end you may be right. But I think it may end up differently surprisingly! That’s why we play the game.

I would add Chavel Willams, Jr and Deavious Weary to that WR/DB list that has been out. Huge playmakers.

If we don’t get some key injured players back then it will be more of the same. At some point yall will see a different OG team. At least that’s the way I see it…

I think you are spot on with this post! There will be another train running through Greyhound stadium and he goes by Kylin Champagne. If we don’t beat ourselves with 100+ penalties or turnovers it will be like the first matchup.

Oak Grove 31-7 Half over NWR

We pretty much shot ourselves in the foot all night and most of the games this season. How do you get 3 offsides in a row on extra points is beyond me. We are and have been our own worst enemy this season. Not fun to watch your team implode week after week with the same old thing .

Good post. I am not confident we are there yet but am hoping for the best. If we can stop the run then it will be interesting. We have to eliminate turnovers and penalties to be in the game. IMO one team will get its only district loss this season.

Coaches do shoulder a lot of the blame but not all of it. The players got to get their heads on straight and quit doing stupid things in the game. Some is youth but some talented older guys have to play up to their expectations. Having MAC at LB could be the leader we needed on D. He is a beast and hopefully other players around him will play up!

I hate you and your son had to move but I get it. I think it’s pretty obvious we don’t have last years team but I expect us to get to South State this year. Otherwise it will be very disappointing because we do have talent.

The penalties we got and get every game are primarily pass interference, offsides, and illegal procedure. The interference always happens on 3rd down and the other 2 about once a series usually at a the worst times. That’s was my point. I wish I could blame it on youth but mostly I can’t.

We can sure beat ourselves with penalties and turnovers. That kept it close no doubt. I don’t think we played a game this year without 100+ yards in stupid penalties.

It could be interesting based on our last 2 of 3 but I think Meridian will have their hands full. I am going with OG by 2 scores.
