Petal coach is being rode pretty hard in social media and understandably so. He has some good connects in the admin is what I hear but that will only carry him so long. But Dub is right they don’t have the players of the past.

I prefer a rematch with OS then Brandon.

Brandon is 1. Oak Grove will be 2. Meridian wins they 3 if the lose they 4th. No idea who the other seed will be.

This is a tough pick to be honest. Without watching some of each teams games I don’t have much to go on. I’ve seen Gulfport in a Jamboree but those are pretty much worthless to judge. I watched OS play one time this year and they impressed. I looked at the records and nothing stands out to me. Based on OS experience the last few years in big games and Gulfport most of the time disappointing as the season gets towards the end I’d go with OS in this one.

Curious to know how the Gulfport QB has played this year. He looked quick on his feet and a good arm in our jamboree.

Not really. We have too much talent to be playing this way. They need to get their big heads off and play up to their potential. I am not counting us out but they better get some fire in their souls. No reason for all the stupid penalties that has become the norm. Speaking of heads our QB needs to get a helmet fix that doesn’t come off 4 times a game at the most critical times of the game. Really?

It’s going to take me awhile to get over that * moderator edit* show we put on last night. These so called D1s better be fighting for an actual signed scholarship offer at this point of the season! Or life will soon be hitting them in the face.

Brandon concerns me. OS concerns me. Nothing else in the South concerns me.

It is possible but… I read since 2018 the largest margin of victory has been 11 points and in the last 5 games, one score has been the difference. Curious, is different identity the same thing as reload?

Pick of the week the Over ha. Well not so fast my friend. Only 1 has gone over that total in the last several years.

If OG D plays up to their capabilities I like our odds. If not, I am going with the team that gets the ball last to be honest. OG needs to limit penalties which they have not done so far this year. This is the game that’s been circled for us to start the season and I expect nothing but a brawl.

Who you got ? OG D is giving up way too many points! I thought our D was going to carry us this year but it has not happened. This is big game for both teams no doubt.

For OG the X-factor could very well be senior kicker Luke Stewart. No one talks about special teams but this guy is the real deal! 90%+ of his kickoffs are non returnable into the end zone 50+ yard FGs are common given the chance. Just ask Wayne County his junior year he won it with a 51 yarder. He is stronger this year and has hit 60+ in practice Punts are breathtaking with 4+ hang time At Kohls professional kicking camp this spring he ranked #35 kicker and #15 punter in the nation and a 5 star in both categories. A difference maker in a game!

Agree on Brandon looking better coming into district play. OG has to minimize the illegal procedures and offside penalties. Never seen us this penalized this much in quite some time. Hopefully we get that fixed going into Meridian. Meridian is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get. Rest assured they will play us tough but we should win handily. Brandon is next up!

I am with you on Gulfport. The QB looked pretty good in our jamboree but I haven’t seen them since so I don’t know. One positive for Gulfport is that sandy natural grass at Milner. But after watching OS D I think Gulfport is in trouble.

Pearl has been a surprise and impressive in Region 3 no doubt about it. The upcoming game with NWR will be interesting.
