Region 8-2A If Collins wins by 12 the tiebreaker goes to #4 Points against NF. #1 Heidelberg +58 tie is broken #2 Mize +13 beat Collins #3 Collins +27 Point 5 is total region points allowed #1 Heidelberg 0 #2 Mize 93 #3 Collins 43 Ironic that Collins has to win by 12 and hold under 50 to get #2 seed. Probably will never come to this scenario.

Your right. But it still says the same online.
-
Callaway and Murrah are in the North. The other Jackson schools are in the South. Murrah is the only school that competes with Madison Central.
-
Leflore Central Delta Lizards will have according to 2022 numbers: Greenwood 491 Amanda Elzy 307 Leflore County 186 Total 984 7A Tupelo to Region 1 and Lewisburg to 6A. I just threw a mascot name out. I am sure they will come up with school name and mascot. And we are down to 240 schools or 24-24-24-40-40-40-48
-
That's why we only need 6 classes.
-
That's why u never see a small school championship North and South played in Jackson to Memphis area with exception of Charleston, Winona, and a few others. It's always Tupelo and Meridian area.
-
For some reason 2023 playoffs also says higher region. So that never changes. The higher regions are for 7A-5A #1 & #3. For 4A-1A #1 & #5.
-
First 2 rounds higher seed host. 1 host 4, 2 host 3, 1 host 2, 3 and 4 host round 2 if they win. Round 3 by then someone has had 2 home games and someone has had a road game and host round 3. Otherwise Higher Region hosts.

Higher Region which is 3 i believe

Quitman becomes #2 with +11 Back to head to head gives Forest the #3 NEJ #4
-
Bullet point 3 is a 3 way tie for second between Quitman, Forest, NEJ on the 12 point system 2 Quitman -1+12=+11 3 Forest +12-12=0 4 NEJ +1-12=-11
-
Bullet Point 2 puts that scenario in play.

Bond vote for new 78,000 sq ft 4 buildings holding 10 to 16 classrooms each and 800 to 1200 students total. If passed MHSAA loses 2 small schools and gets a 6A/7A school in Leflore County. It loses 4A Greenwood, 3A Amanda Elzy, 1A/2A Leflore County at some point.

Tie Breaker 1 Head to Head 2 How they all 4 did against Morton 3 12 point break down among the 4 tied teams 4 Point differential against Morton 5 Fewest points in Region plays all 4 games 6 Coin Flip Since he is not using points it's not going to #3. It all hinges on Morton/Forest winner/loser and NEJ/Mendenhall winner loser.

R1 vs R4 R2 vs R3 R5 vs R8 MHSAA has a bracket for 5A, 6A, 7A & 1A-4A R6 vs R7

Bill 669 passed in the legislature required an equal portion to Strayhorn and Independence. That leaves me to believe Hwy 51 was probably chosen as the dividing line. Also if they choose they can be transferred to Senatobia.
-
Well according what I just read if you live close to Senatobia you go there. So that's interesting.
-
Perhaps majority went to Independence and they move up to 4A.
-
Mt guess is Strayhorn will be 2A next year maybe if they got most of the Coldwater students

Fake Injuries Called as Delay of Game in MHSAA Game
Rebel Bert replied to Hash_Marks's topic in Football
Kiffins is ligite most of the time. -
Lightening delays. No play and everyone heads to the car for at least 30 minutes after delay determined by officials. Probably a running clock to finish before 2AM.
-
What's your suggestion; 1 Let them play down a class and compete against West Jones and Picayune based on what. 2 Take all the schools in the NE make them Region 1 of all classes when Tupelo is the only 7A and no 6A.

Just looked at it for Central Ms. 30% at 11 am, Thursday, 80% at 5pm, 90% at 9pm. Any games being postponed til Friday.
