That DC gave up 30 plus points to teams like Magee, JDC, Seminary, and Raleigh over the years. If OG gives up those points their going to lose a game or two.

MSU does not have the NIL money required to pay students beginning July 1, 2025. No long term plan on recruiting to rebuild their program. This will be free recruiting for players on 14 teams. They are truly at the bottom of the SEC. And there are those in the ACC and B12 that want Ole Miss, Vandy, and MSU replaced with their school of choice. The rules want allow it unless the BIG boys like Bama and LSU leave for a new set up. MSU better get it right quickly.

I believe school boards have to approve all fundraisers, trips, booster club expenses, etc.

Some smaller school parents do have to pay out of pocket for sports. That's why you see rafels and lard or coffee buckets at 4 way crossing on a given Saturday.

Maybe their parents moved to McComb to work at Walmart or some other local industry. It can all be legal.

Loyd Star plays 2 schools above 2A this year. Franklin County and Crystal Springs. Most schools on their schedule in recent years has had less than 3 wins a year with the exception of Wesson and 2nd round opponents. Strength of schedule doesn't compare to Mize's schedule.

Hopefully it will drain if done right. Otherwise water will get into some cleats. Gone a pay for some water if they sod it.

Former Superintendent, Former asst Superintendent, Former principal committing acts unbecoming of a man, current principal and staff turnover. is partly if not mostly to blame. They hatched a plan in the near future under the table that got out that consolidation was going to happen. It has never been brought to the school board. Teachers and principals at Mize and Raleigh had had enough of the shenanigans. Overthrow the Superintendent etc, etc. Georgia Pacific in Taylorsville was bought out and the practice of bringing in families and providing jobs was halted. Students jumped to Mize, Raleigh, Sylva Bay, and West Jones because of the shenanigans. Hiring of coaches using the system of winning to move on up somewhere else hasn't helped.

It's going to take coach some time to build his program. Taylorsville will be a playoff team continously in 1A. A dangerous 3 or 4 seed so be it.

2 years ago Raleigh went to Pisgah and won 60-0. I said then that 2025 can be their year especially in 2A. We'll i think they can do well in Region 5 3A and be dangerous in post season. I wonder if #5 played last night. He's good at running the ball. He wasn't on the baseball roster.

Pisgah did indeed lose their bigger boys to graduation. Playing time and gelling will tell how far they go in the playoffs.

Booster Clubs

I was thinking would be stacked this year. Maybe the baseball players didn't play since the season ended last week. If they don't have the size they will struggle with Quitman and Union.

Unless something changes Collins will be a 2nd round opponent. R5 vs R6 in round 1.
