  1. If schools in South Mississippi join that league certainly it will be those along the Pearl River and alonf hwy 28 and 84 due to the same travel experience.
  2. 1 MAIS is struggling and we may get a merger someday. 2 MGSAA coaches need opponents for all these open dates so we may get a scheduling agreement but not 8 man. 3 1.5 multiplier has become a stinky issue. 4 Wait and see?
  3. I have been to Berry's in Magee only twist and I know the family. I work with a relative of theirs and needless say some restaurants will be getting once a year visits and some twist a year maybe. But then I do watch what I eat now.
  4. Principal taking it upon himself or herself
  5. Applebee's and those fancy restaurants will cost you 30 bucks a pop per person in Rankin County now. Gas station chicken it is for a road trip for many.
  6. Schedules have been released on Capital Sports Ms. MS Palmer coach is listed as XXXX.
  7. Maybe they have it just hasn't been posted anywhere.
  8. You hope the assistants have taken up the slack. Maybe use the OC's offensive plays and sprinkle in a few new ones along the way.
  9. MS Palmer is the last opening left.
  10. 6 Classes 6A-4A 4 Regions 6A-4A top 6 make the playoffs per region 3A-1A 8 Regions 3A-1A top 5 make the playoffs per region OR 5 Classes 6A-5A 4 Regions 4A-1A 8 Regions Top 6 make the playoffs in every class and region **If the legislature votes to close 25 to 35 schools discussed things are going to change**
  11. MAIS 4A schools have enough MAIS 3A schools around to fill out a schedule with Brookhaven or Meridian being the longest travel unless they play at Magnolia Heights.
  12. Some MAIS schools have 11 week schedules and playing 9 games. It doesn't make sense to give up a home gate when money is tight enough for many.
  13. Capital Sports Ms will release schedules when 2 Delta schools hire a coach abd 3 Delta Schools sense in their schedule.
  14. If St Stanislaus and OLA go to 4A then travel will be very local until playoffs. I don't see travel other than to Tylertown in 3A bring further.
  15. Open October 9 in MAIS are MRA, St Aloysius, Oak Hill, and Centreville. Then I noticed MAIS season starts August 14 and some schools like Lamar have 2 open dates. That’s lost money.
  16. Let me back up, its Poplarville with an open date and not Columbia. PCS found an opponent and St Patrick is filled. Raleigh, Forest, St Patrick, Columbia, and Hazlehurst, and one other south school open that week in MHSAA. Several in MAIS i think are open in the south. I think part of the problem is coaches not all but some are scheduling with coaches they went to college with. Others are looking for wins. Also the 5 team regions are part of the problem.

  18. The legislature will have to pass a bill to make them consolidate most likely. Otherwise Mt Olive will fight it til bitter end. My guess is Mt Olive remains a Ore K thru 8th grade if they do consolidate anytime soon.
  19. I agree that who ever wins the region wins North
  20. Where do they play Noxubee and Choctaw County at?
  21. With Heidelberg enrollment at the bottom of 2A they may have lost enough talent to help East Marion or whomever knock them off.
  22. U misunderstood me. Both Wesson and East Marion would host in Round 3 as 1 seeds if all things equal: Scott Central @ Wesson Heidelberg @ East Marion
  23. If equally seeded teams meet and it can not be determined as to ho m e and away then Higher Region Host. That would be Wesson and East Marion in Round 3 correct as 1 seeds.
