MHSAA executive director says it may go to a vote of the people. If it passes either way public funding of private schools will be in full force.
-
1 Reclassification will remain at 2 year intervals. 2 Leake County is consolidating beginning this fall. 3 No on joining Alabama and Louisiana Reclassification Cycle. 4 Executive board discussion will be known on Monday.
-
Majority of the board is up north to some degree.

Too much baggage in the bill that should be separated. No public school funds to private schools or home schools that have not been vetted.
-
War of words from speaker of the House and Lt Governor. SOH: It will be revived because there some leaders in the house that wants it passed. They could have added amendments and we could have went into discussion. Lt Gov: There are more important things to discuss and pass. It only passed by 2 votes. SOH: Looked like he was about to cry leading me to believe we will see this bill again. Made it clear a special will be called by the Governor. It makes me believe it was an attempt to grow the student population at MAIS schools with public dollars.

Is it Homer Morgan?

All of Leake County Opponents will be open or looking for an opponent
-
NC is further West and WL is slightly further North, maybe keep the Lauderdale schools together and just reproduction my Region 4 again with both. Yazoo City will have to come South with that thought.
-
If Leake County completes Consolidation they will be Region 2-5A. Vicksburg or Provine will drop to Region 3-5A. That will drop Sumrall to Region 7-4A. Lawrence County will slide to Region 6-4A. Either Mendenhall or Richland will move to Region 5. Then one of 3 Newton County, West Lauderdale, or NE Lauderdale will move north to Region 4-4A.
-
Leake County School District is also according to their website site looking for new private or patriarchal schools opened in the county. That is unusual.
-
Will they gave to play independent in 26 or remain 4A for 1 year and reclassification as 5A in 27.
-
Velma Jackson looking for week 4 opponent vs Leake County. Had Leake Central week 5.
-
This bill passed a sub committee on February 3.
-
This bill hasn't been listed for a week. I am beginning to think the hope was for HB2 to pass.
-
This bill may have been pulled before yesterday. I didn't see it listed last week.
-
Louisville is also looking for werk 3 opponent.
-
3 classes of 24 รท 4 regions of 6 works.

I will say ole Stanky Bubba will pull hus strings to get his guy as a parting shhotat the Wayne County faithful. I don't think the current Louisville, Columbia, Poplarville, Grenada, South Panola, Tupelo, and Gulfport coaches are moving. They will do good to get one of their assistants or go with a 3A/2A coach outside of an Wayne County Alum.

Bill voted down unanimously by Senate Sub Committee. Obviously giving state funds to Private Schools and a potential Minnesota style homeschooling situation being avoided. I also think many por or poverished parents are not interested in sending children outside their current local schools. May be a charter school in each county might be more sufficient.
-
I believe their reclassification showed 2 classes
-
48 schools would not be a strong association.
-
Long Beach will be towards the bottom of 6A and in Region 4.
