Taylorsville is the favorite in region. That region may be very weak below them and Stringer.

The only question is did it happen before the 1st probation was up. And if so who allowed it and why.

It will surprise me if its anything other than scheduling or issues that have occurred at games involving both leagues.

MHSAA does have a 20 mile radius for private schools. MHSAA also has a rule where a player must be enrolled by July 1 and live in the school zone if not private school.

That's why I say scheduling agreements, fan issues, etc were probably brought up.

Nothing really I am just saying you have to put yourself in some people's cleats to understand they might not be ready to play at Provine or Forest Hill due to the happenings of the last 35 years of crime. They can't even protect cars at JSU game. But when Hartfield, Prep, or MRA get put in Eegion 2 5A expect to play some of the current metro area MHSAA schools. One of the reasons some will bulk on a complete merger.

Probably will never be neutral site games. But there are some current 4A schools probably moving to 5A under 8 classes playing some Jackson schools.

Been told they may not be as good to start the season. Their RB is back but some new kids are going to have step up.

I think this may have started out with a question of why did you take PCS. It turned into a split down discussion. Then the Florida Alabama Georgia thing comes up. Now we have to discuss keeping private schools south of Hattiesburg in our associations. Maybe it turned into a merger maybe a scheduling agreement which I can see happening. Maybe the multiplier goes away in a complete merger maybe it is negotiated down. If and whatever the outcome a merger is going to be interesting in the classes: 7 or 8, # per region, 8 man, etc. Then the scheduling next year. Lots of discussion. If your Tri County and your in a region with Mize don't be scared to come on down to Sullivan's Hollow on the hill. If your Starkville Academy and your 5A at Provine come on down or let's have a neutral game at East Central or somewhere. A merger has to all in or else. It will take some getting use to.

Then I question all MAIS especially Louisiana schools staying around. Its obvious they could be paired up with the SW Ms schools in Region play.

I didn't think so because I remember video of the lines being drawn. They were not straight at all.

You may have already done the math i don't know. You have to consider all MAIS schools since some don't play football as well.

Will the multiplier go away?

I believe the Jackson fields are artificial turf now. Getting there and getting out safely from the bad streets and gangs. Actually I have no clue about NW Jackson fields. Provine is artificial turf and you drive straight in from hwy 80 and out.

I think so and maybe the 1A non football schools can play 8 man up north. Remember there are few MAIS schools in NE Ms.

4 team regions some day all teams in playoffs equals 32 schools per class 8 regions someday.

7 classes was brought uo at annual meeting as I recall on the coast. I think it originated out of a district 5 annual meeting which Bubba was a part of at one time.

In 4A-1A can now go 4 regions top 8 make the playoffs. 2 stay at home probably will likely be the same 2.

IN 5A/6A you will always have dates available for a jug and a gator hunting trip for those 2 schools.
