  1. For the sake of the team, coaching staff, and fanbase if they decide to hire Coach Arnett to maintain unity, then I fully support that decision. I certainly don’t think it would be a wrong move by any means. I think Coach Arnett is extremely capable of handling the job and the duties and responsibilities that go along with it.
  2. Milner Stadium has one of the last if not the last grass field on the coast so yes it's a far superior job simply because of that. It's too bad Gulfport's practice field isn't grass. I guess they should just take buses over to Milner everyday and practice there .
  3. I honestly hate to think about what is next because I thought we would have Leach for 10 years or better and he would retire on his own terms. I certainly think Leach's coaching staff is special and I would hate to see that staff get broken up. We've had so much continuity with it and they run like a well oiled machine. The last thing I want to see is the thing get blown up and have to start all over again. There isn't any right answers to any of this, but I would give Coach Arnett a shot though. With the timing and who's not available what other options do we have at this point? I think Spurrier would make a great O.C. for us though and we could maintain the coaching staff, the recruits, the offensive philosophy and the defensive philosophy. The only difference would be not having Coach Leach on the sideline.
  4. It's a very sad day to be a Bulldog. My heart just goes out to his family and especially his grandchildren. Life is such a fragile thing.
  5. You'd be starting a war with Temple Baptist Church up there LOL!
  6. I understand that comment is debatable and maybe I should have reworded that to impactful or something like that, but he has definitely made a stamp on the sport of football in general. One that can't be replaced.
  7. They say that Mike Leach is the most interesting man in college football. I honestly believe he is the most important man in college football. I've been in his family's shoes before and I think we all have at some point in time and my heart just breaks for them.
  8. I don't even want to think about what football would be like without Mike Leach. This is so terrible .
  9. @David& @Dubaction What are your thoughts on this?
  10. My goodness. I'm at a loss for words if that's the case. I know him and his family definitely need our prayers.
  11. I just wonder what is going on with Coach Leach. I just hope it wasn’t a heart attack, stroke or aneurysm.
  12. I don’t know what the rumors are but I hope things will be ok.
  13. Well does the B1G Network have an alternate channel? This Wisconsin-Iowa game is in OT.
  14. When was the last time both the men’s and women’s teams played in back-to-back basketball games on the same night? I realize the men’s team is on the road at Minnesota tonight, but man I could get used to this because both games are televised.
  15. I hope it’s not too serious, but if it is I hope the doctors can get to the bottom of it. It’s definitely concerning for sure and I’ll be keeping him and his family in my prayers.
  16. Just scroll up to my original reply @s1nglewing. You’ll see my comment about it not being a playoff championship, but it was a state championship just not of the playoff type.
  17. Well they just made those up and I think they look pretty good for getting something done so quick.
  18. It’s not. I understand it.
  19. They beat Philadelphia 21-19 in Meridian.
  20. Yes that is correct. You’ll see it on the AHSFHS website, but it wasn’t a playoff championship. Right after those boys played that game they got on a train and went to war.
  21. No lie, but State needs to do everything they can to get Dowdell in the boat. I know the Rebearsharks are going after him as well, but I’d much rather see him stay committed to Oregon than to go down that dark path. If State is able to land him he would be an immediate contributor to the team. I know for a fact he would do great things in Starkville.
  22. And if you won a game at Dantzler you accomplished something.
  23. Emory Bellard was the inventor of the wishbone. He ran it under Darrell Royal at Texas and then we he became the Head Coach at Mississippi State he kind of reinvented it again with the Wingbone.
