  1. Heard through the grape vine coaches were told there will be no athletic blocks next year. Any truth to this?
  2. If there is no documentation showing that a threat of termination or an ultimatum was made at the time he resigned, then the resignation would generally be considered voluntary. Statements made after the fact, on their own, do not establish that he was forced to resign. At this point, the issue is less about differing interpretations and more about confirming what actually took place during the meeting. The documentation and meeting records should clarify that.
  3. For clarity, under Mississippi law and most district policies, a school board cannot legally fire or discipline a coach on its own without a recommendation from the superintendent. Personnel supervision and disciplinary recommendations are administrative functions, not board-level, day-to-day operations. The board’s role is to approve or reject personnel actions that are properly recommended by the superintendent. When a board initiates or directs personnel action without that recommendation, it risks violating its own policies and exceeding its legal authority, which can expose the district to legal action.
  4. It’s been brought to my attention, parents have found a new loop hole with getting their kids eligible to play in district that they don’t live in. These parents are filing for divorce and claiming the students are living in their new district with one of their parents. I know of two players that are currently do this. The misshsaa has told both school’s complaining that they don’t investigate cases involving a divorce. In both cases I know about these kids are living with finds during the week. Heck the parents still live together and come to the games together. Anyone else heard of this happening?
  5. Heard Harrison Central was looking for a game. Moss Point canceled on them.
  6. I also heard it was Jeff Stockstill.
  7. Rumors on the coast have a certain left hand QB from OS transferring to Moss Point. Anyone know if this is accurate or not?
  8. Aycock named new Head Coach at Stone.
  9. Let them go. They need to shut down some of these smaller schools anyway.
  10. Why can't he take his recruits with him. He brought them to OS. Come on man, no one has any sympathy for OS. They have been stealing players from neighboring schools for years.
  11. You are correct. It can come from another school but the complaint has to come from a school's principal.
  12. I say open it all up. A kid can play wherever they want. Granted that they provide their own transportation. Kind of like they do in Florida. We got this kids ready for the next level. Lol. HS portal lol.
  13. I say just open it up like they do in Florida. A kid can go to any school they want as long as they provide their on transportation I am pretty sure it has to come from the principal.
