NFL Playoffs

Went to the Saints NFC championship game against the Bears in 2007. Was snowing most of the game but luckily it was around mid teens. Wasn’t too bad actually. Now I’m in my 40’s and just got done working for 16 straight hours in -1 with -21 wind chill yesterday/last night here in Tulsa on the river and wasn’t too happy about it.

So Divisional Round is very interesting:

Texans at Ravens
Chiefs at Bills

Packers at 49ers

Bucs at Lions

Chiefs-Bills is probably the most notable matchup, especially given what happened when they last played in the Playoffs two years ago. I think the home team will be a decently sized favorite in the other three games.

It’s all a crap shoot now.

If the Eagles get someone from the Shanahan tree, this league is in trouble. Don’t think that offensive system could even win at Meridian high

That was some kind of collapse they just pulled off. From 10-1 to losing 6 of the next 7 and non competitive in a bunch of those losses, including the Playoffs.

For all the hype the top two in the NFC got most of the year, that division sure embarrassed itself in clutch time.

Both teams seem to rely on talent way too much. No reason for either of those rosters to be a first round exit. Not just a first round exit, absolutely embarrassed in games they were favored in against teams that barely clawed their way into a playoff spot

This Goes to show just how Sirianni’s coordinators did all the work in their super-bowl run last season. He should be jobless

Does anyone know the locker room problems Hurts alluded to a few weeks ago?

I don’t know if anyone on the outside knows the full story yet, but it appears to be frustrations over how the offense has been run. From players and the coaching staff. A certain WR with heavy Mississippi ties has apparently been one of the more vocal ones about voicing his frustrations, and that in itself may be a separate thing.

The Texans made a great effort in the first half, the Ravens took over in the second half which is no surprise.

The Packers have put up a nice first half battle so far, I expect the second half to be about like the first game today... San Fran just takes the game over mid 3rd quarter.

Oh Bills… not like that…

Can’t ever count out the Chief. KC at Baltimore for a trip to the SB.

If that Bills kicker would have aimed toward the left upright it probably would have went in.  Granted it would have just tied the game, so the Chiefs still could have won the ballgame.  It was definitely a great game to watch though.

I like KC since a couple of our State guys are there (Jones & Gay) and I hope Gay’s injury is not too bad. He will be an important part of stopping Jackson Sunday.
And though Jones did not do much he saved the game on the play where he overpowered the OL and knocked Allen off balance and caused the incomplete pass when the receiver was wide open in the end zone for the go ahead Touchdown.

Baltimore is favored but KC will probably find a way to win Sunday. Mahomes just has a knack of finding a way to win the big games.

We will see what happens.

The Lions looked in complete control by halftime, 49ers dominated the second half.

The two games today were definitely worth the watch, the SB should be a good one.

I thought the Lions leaned too hard into the analytics in the second half and it bit them in the butt.
