What Game are you looking forward to?

Football season is just right around the corner. It can not get here fast enough in my opinion. As we try to muddle through these last few weeks until the season actually starts, what game are you looking forward to the most? It doesn’t have to be a game your team plays, it can just be one in general. I pondered this for a little bit a few games stuck out in my head. Picayune vs Brandon is one them. Oak Grove vs Hoover(AL) is another. So what game or games are you looking forward to?

OS vs Gulfport should be pretty interesting. Got a feeling there will be a lot of bad blood after the way their off-seasons went.

My exact thoughts. I am a Gulfport alum but have lived in Ocean Springs since moving back home from Louisiana in 2008. My daughter currently attends OS and is friends with several players. The bad blood is there and this is game they have had circled on their schedule for a long time.

OG vs MRA

Other games:

West Point vs Louisville

Tupelo vs Starkville

Brandon Vs Picayune

Dub, since y'all play Wayne County on Thursday, August 24th that will free you up to travel on Friday.  At least it'll be a shorter drive for you.

I actually don’t live close anymore I’ve been gone for about 6 years but I still try to come home and catch a few games when I can. Would be a great idea though to catch some extra games. Thank God for live streams

East side bleachers with that laser sun in our faces for one hour or more.

I told WABO earlier that I was bring a iron skillet of corn meal mash and set it in the seats. The cornbread should be ready before halftime.

Might as well fry some eggs too.  Just don't forget to salt and pepper them.  I guess that's Oak Grove cuisine at it's best.

I did not notice they were scheduled for this season. Brandon does not stand a chance

I don't know who y'all play on the 25th, but you are more than welcome to come sit on the Maroon Tide side.  The last time I went to Brandon was when they were at the old stadium and I remember the visitor side being on a cliff and you were like 2 feet from the field.  Granted it wasn't as bad as Oak Grove's old stadium, but it was pretty sketchy though.

We have Ocean Springs at home or I would take you up on that offer, and yes, Brandons old stadium was a dump

You can use this page http://www.calpreps.com/cgi-bin/2023/project_matchup.pl to project a game's probable outcome but their algorithm won't be super accurate until a few weeks into the season. Even then the points scored won't be on, but the spread is usually pretty close.

It's weird how eerily accurate they get it once they get the algorithm right and like you said a few weeks into the season to get the kinks worked out, but yes the spread is usually on for the most part.
