I dont need to read the room. Just seeing all the comments and well wishes from the players he has coached from his days at Charleston, past and present from Hattiesburg, from his peers in the coaching profession and the media should tell you that he is a good coach and a good man. As far as me being inside the building, that is not in my department. I have a regular 40hr week full time job. I am not a Hattiesburg school employee or coach. Ive been in the fieldhouse/gymnasium once since football season ended and that was to go to the basketball game.

On this board? Show me. I know people in Charleston that don’t like him. At all . Lot of people on here have been calling the trash way he and his staff have acted during games for years.. Yet you call me out. No sir you don’t like me because you can’t really refute things I have pointed out  You knew I probably wouldn’t kiss his arse on the way out and would pile on . You were right on that.

It’s clear you have strong feelings for the man and want people to give glowing goodbyes. Nah . Not me

I tried to keep it relatively civil in this thread with you but you come in with both fist swinging at my first comment.

I don’t like you as a poster on here honestly. Never have . I say that so there is no misunderstanding in the future if we have an interchange. Read it with that part in the back of your mind. Say what you want. We both know now.

If you need proof of what the good ole boy system will do just look at Lafayette County since hiring Jay Foster as Superintendent. He ran off all the coaches of pretty much every athletic program and hired all his buddies. Now they’re pathetic. He ran a perennial winner into the cellar. When is the last time Lafayette County wasn’t relevant? Think they finished 0-10 and pretty much had a running clock in every game.

Anthony Hart's 2nd losing season ever (since 1997). Not the coaching.

4 clocks.

Oxford has the same pool of kids almost exactly. I don’t see them 0-10. They’re competitive and not making “excuses” instead of letting there buddies double dip and do as they’re told.

Not true, Oxford pulls kids in from county now. Parents buying houses in city to go there, Anthony Maddox moving to Oxford so his kid can play there (and be close to his sons playing at Ole Miss).

Didn’t he get hired to coach football at Oxford? If so wouldn’t that be the cause of the move?

This is true. I live 1 mile outside of Oxford in Lafayette school district yet my neighborhood is full of Oxford students.

Then you would no Wammies… is Lafayette 0-10 bad? Or since the new super was hired does it seem they have just chosen to focus on baseball, tennis, soccer, and golf?

Not to derail this thread but I think it’s a mixture of a few things but one big thing is within the last 4-5 years the talent level here in Oxford and county area has been surprisingly not good. I can’t even remember a standout D1 type of player Lafayette has had since Turnage and even when he was here he was basically a one man team. Up above you said Oxford has been competitive but have they really? Ever since the championship game against Oak Grove they haven’t been the same type of team. Yea they had a 8-4 year last year but they were still miles from being competitive to a team like Starkville or other 7A teams. They just lucked up being in a bad region.

This is a good take. Preciate it.

Oxford Football may regret being put in region 2 the next 2 years.

I agree but just wait til Knox Kiffin becomes the Charger QB. Every Tom, Dick and Harry in the Oxford/Lafayette County area going to send their kid to Oxford so Lane will get a better view of them.
