1-6a was awful this year. Grenada was down, lake cormorant didn’t have a QB, south Panola didn’t have a clue. Overall region was weak

The talent moved to Lafayette county 6/7 yrs ago ontop of this. Seems like all the talent in north ms is moving east (Tupelo)

There’s two sides to every story... I will concede to you that. But, Jones’ record doesn’t need defending… he’s won everywhere he’s been and had great success at Starkville. Now, the Supt got what he wanted and is on the clock. I wish Starkville well. However, he will look really dumb if he doesn’t get this hire right.

Because the point was made that Starkville (Chris Jones) is being run off by his superintendent in order for the super to hire who he wants. Jones would be a good fit at Hattiesburg but if a college gig is in the mix I see him taking that. I quit going to games this year at Lafayette in favor of going to Oxford or driving to Tupelo and South Panola. Better football to watch week in and week out. Talent is bad at Lafayette as mentioned earlier but it’s not 0-10 bad. The coaching is very vanilla and the culture sucks. Period

Agreed. Not everything has to be made public. Congrats to Starkville for securing the win despite all the drama and missing pieces. That says a lot about the quality job Chris Jones has done.
