Going to be some saltiness from the SP folks when we whip them with the coach their Super ran out of town after winning 2 district champs with less talent than we had either of the years they won it.

Hearing that Grenada and South Panola may be doing a switcharoo on coaches. Man can you imagine this rivalry now if it is true.

Going to be tough on Leland playing 2A and 1A

Based on the article I read I know he is bringing Ricky Woods with him. Woods was with him at Grenada the 2 years they went to the championship but not this past year.

Just became public in the last year. It’s been trending that direction for 5-10 years. Talent is everywhere at Grenada problem is keeping it off the street. Sadly it is reaching a tipping point and it seems to be headed the wrong direction. There are several good candidates and coaches that would be crazy not to want this job. Grenada is loaded in junior high. Next year will be about like this past year but will be Sophomore and Junior laden. Grenada went after a PROVEN winner the last time and it paid off for the entire community despite grumbling at first. Will they do the same this time and continue to make the kids the priority and continue to put a great program together or will the superintendent, AD and assistant AD cave to the pressure and hire the person that checks the box on their political agenda to keep their jobs and destroy everything Fair and honestly Kuhn built during their tenures. I know from what I’ve heard about it. They’re thinking about themselves and Grenada will be right back to 5-6 and 4-7 seasons before we know it. I expect nothing less from a former band director, tennis coach and yes man.

If they are moving to Oxford they’re eligible no questions asked. If they’re moving to Lafayette County or South Panola they must sit out a season regardless of where they live even if they live into school district. That’s how MHSAA handles Oxford area

What’s the definition of doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Yall need to learn the value of DEFENSE. At Grenada I drank the cool-aid last year and doubted if we would beat you all because yall were “so good” offensively. Hattiesburg is soft on defense and not schematically sound they just out athlete people on defense

- Gulfport beats Tupelo handily! 34-14 Gulfport - Hattiesburg chokes again. Although they make this years game competitive. Warren Central 27-20 - West Point names the score. #TooMuchPoint 35 -7 - Kosciusko proves what I’ve been saying all year. They are the best team in 4A. KO 28-13 - Raleigh and Noxubee County play the most competitive game of the weekend. Raleigh 21-20 - Heidelberg does what they do. Congrats to EW on 2nd place. Should have had a PowerPoint system and you could have thrown a game or two to win the consolation prize. Heidelberg 46-14 - Calhoun City rolls. Calhoun City 32 -12

1-6a defense at its finest this year

Defense is not played in region 1-6A. I been saying it all year. The schemes are laughable. They either line up in base defense every play and never substitute anyone or they blitz 8 and leave one uncovered and hope who they playing don’t guess right. Then Lake Cormorant will have 8 kids sign Division 1 LOI’s and walk around all night and just enough to win until they play someone they can’t do that with.

In order for a kid that has a concussion to play they have to be cleared by the athletic training team employed by the school district. Every player generally takes a baseline test at the beginning of the season and it is pretty much impossible to lie your way through it. In order for them to be cleared they have to pass the baseline test again (no it’s not the same questions) with at least their original score or higher and they must not exhibit any physical symptoms of a concussion for 48 hours. Being the size school that Brandon is I am going to bet they have all of these procedures in place more than likely through MS Sports and Rehabilitation services. I guess @MagonliaManiac777 was sitting in the tent when “said” player received his diagnosis. For someone to get on here and make these claims about a coach, an AD, an Athletic Training staff, and even the parent of a child by someone who “heard” and was “told by a fan of another reliable source” that is obviously an OS homer who is scared they might get beat if the QB plays. When you say stuff like this wrecklessly it hurts the kid involved, the coach and family of the coach, trust in training staff (not just at this school), trust in administration (not just at this school).

What OS defense? Didn’t know they play defense

Brandon has dealt with a lot of adversity this year and everyone knows they are one of the more if not the most talented team in the state (other than Tupelo). If they figure it out then I believe they can make a run at it

I will take - Brandon over Ocean Springs - New Albany will give Louisville a scare but Louisville will prevail - Pontotoc beats Lanier

South Panola will beat Neshoba handily. Grenada vs Ridgeland will be 56-56 and whoever has the ball last will win because defense is just something done until the next possession. Unless Grenada snaps it over the QBs head for the 250th time this season. Warren Central dismantles CH. Lake Cormorant slacks around like they always do versus dismal opponents and wins 27-14.
