  1. If you need proof of what the good ole boy system will do just look at Lafayette County since hiring Jay Foster as Superintendent. He ran off all the coaches of pretty much every athletic program and hired all his buddies. Now they’re pathetic. He ran a perennial winner into the cellar. When is the last time Lafayette County wasn’t relevant? Think they finished 0-10 and pretty much had a running clock in every game.
  2. Yep. And that’s crazy. Jones is a great coach. I’m hearing Dillon Mitchell to Starkville.
  3. Collierville had 6-8 starters 3 years ago from Center Hill. They played for Center Hill as Juniors and then attended Colierville for their Senior season. The year they built the new school.
  4. Brayden Trusty finished the season 138 completions on 247 attempts for 1951 yards with 19 TDs and 2 Ints.
  5. Discipline and toughness. Coaches can’t make excuses about officiating and bad calls and expect the kids not to make excuses when they catch bad breaks. Kuhn was the same way at Grenada with better talent than is there now. He spent half the game arguing with officials and at the first sign of adversity his teams would fall apart.
  6. I’m speaking of the clock running because neither of us would throw a pass. SMH. Not talking that kind of noise yet. This is just our first gold ball!
  7. Coach Fair has changed the entire culture of our community not just the program. One of the best men and coaches the sport has to offer. He has won championships at Grenada, Lafayette, Pillow Academy and multiple at South Panola with Ricky Woods. A lot of people don’t realize this either but Ricky Woods is our Offensive Coordinator.
  8. I would have loved that match up. The game would have lasted maybe an hour.
  9. @slicklizard tried to tell you. We aren’t flashy but we have some hard nose kids that play hard #0 Jarquez Perry and #5 McCaleb Taylor get NO respect every week and dominate everyone. Hattiesburg has gotten beat so bad they just had 8 players in punt formation. Smh
  10. Glad we decided to play the game and not just forfeit and mail the trophy across town to Hattiesburg!
  11. Congrats to West Point and Rob Morgan. It’s hard to come in behind someone like Chris Chambless and follow up with a championship. Heck look at Kalen Deboer and Alabama and the way they have fallen off. For West Point, the more things change the more they stay the same. West Point will continue their dominance into the future with Morgan, Welch and company at the helm.
  12. Hope they buckled their chin straps a little tighter. “Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the mouth”.
  13. Having $700 added into my bank account when I have $119 left in there is different than having $700 added into my bank account when I have $800 left in there. Haha. Isn’t it still $700.
  14. Neither one of us are believing that lie either. Haha.
  15. Hey man numbers don’t matter according to your reasoning. Hollandale should be competitive. Or clean house and get better coaches and administrators. 644 or 3-400 what’s the difference. Doesn’t matter. Winners win.
  16. Grenada 783 and Tupelo 1542 that’s a 759 gap but your saying “suck it up buttercup go be competitive. Numbers don’t matter.
  17. I recall that. Picayune has one of the premier programs in the state of MS.
  18. If Hollandale Simmons plays Picayune who is winning that game every year? PICAYUNE BY 100. That’s the exact same enrollment gap. Haha
  19. There are going to be years. West Point when Marcus Murphy, Chris Calvert, and Jason Brownlee there. No one was beating that team. The Scott Central squad like 3 years ago could have played with anyone. Taylorsville has had a group like that. Charleston in 3A in 2005 would have beaten anyone.
  20. Hahahaha. With 15 recruited kids literally from Memphis - Vicksburg.
  21. That is my point. Yall expect to win every year and you should but if yall were 7A would yall have had the success you’ve had over last 10-15 years?
  22. Nah if they went back to the 5-6 classification Grenada would be “competitive” like they were in past most years but in the end they just don’t have enough to break through. Just like Picayune would be in 7A. They would make maybe second round but then get beat by a Brandon, Oak Grove, Ocean Springs, maybe Gulfport and D’Iberville. Just like Grenada did for years but then lost to Madison, Tupelo, Starkville.
  23. But Picayune’s 2 losses this year were to Brandon and Gulfport. You think their fan base is going to accept being “competitive”?
