That’s the exact same enrollment gap. Haha I think you just like to say things. Picayune had 763 last count. Simmons had 119. The difference between them would then be 644. 644>3-400. hasbeen67
More students doesn't guarantee more football players. However, the probability of having more good players from a larger student body increases statistically, right? There may be some outliers when a disproportional number of good players end up at a smaller school at the same time. The football culture of the particular school also matters. Or clean house and get better coaches and administrators. 644 or 3-400 what’s the difference. Doesn’t matter. Winners win.
Merlin
A 700 student difference between a school with 119 and with 800 is a larger talent gap than one where one school has 800 and the other 1500. In my opinion anyway. Edited December 6, 2024 by Merlin

Isn’t it still $700.

(RE: Harrison Central) specifically Harrison Central pre West Harrison. Before the West Harrison split Harrison Central was the largest high school in Mississippi by a country mile. They probably did have some talent, but they were roaming the halls. This is a spot on post.

I stated that it is not as big of an issue as you are making it to be. Again, I understand why you are in favor of it. Grenada is more relevant than they have ever been. You have 2 State title and 3 south state appearances only in school history. Most of that was accomplished due to the state going to 7 classes. You are bias for a reason. In our case a environment has been created to drive players away from. There is a reason there were mostly sophomores and freshmen playing at the end of the season. Rebel Bert
The right coach can see and recruit the kids roaming the halls. Winning coaches breeds winning. That's why Taylorsville isn't afraid to play up when they are good. Numbers don't matter except when a team could have 200 kids come out vs 40 for a smaller school.
