No in 1983 Raleigh went to Mize and won 30-0 in less than 3 qtrs. Coach Lee vowed he would never play Raleigh again as the Lions put a lot of injuries on Mize offensive line. His son followed suit when he took a few years ago. As time heals and Raleigh may very well become 2A in 2023 the rivalry may very well become a region clash. I think Mize coaching staff knows Mize doesnt have the talent they've had in the past and opted for a vanilla schedule.

And what’s so bad is, even when our talent level drops, we still don’t drop to the level enterprises does. For Mize, having a bad season isn’t normal. For enterprise, having a good season isn’t normal. After this season, enterprise will start returning to normal. And you will go back to calling for Jimmerson’s job again, even though he’s the reason for your temporary resurgence.

Next season they are back on the regular schedule. They were also on our current schedule, it was just as a jamboree. We decided last season that the jamboree would include Raleigh. You seem to forget Mize has lost to Enterprise three years straight and Mize hasnt even scored on Enterprise the past two years and has been outscored by Enterprise 73-0 the last two years and 101-22 the last three years. Enterprise is 32-5 from 2019-2021 while Mize is 9-20. Mize has won four games the last two years. And Mize will certainly be blown out again by Enterprise on Sept. 9. And Enterprise will have a lot coming back next year too so there will not be the drop off you are expecting. Consider that after you watch Enterprise whip Mize's butt again. Chunky6617
Yes, three years… 3 years of being relevant seems like a lifetime to an enterprise fan because you are used to being everybody’s homecoming opponent every year. You ignore the rest of history, where we have always owned enterprise. Just like everybody else. You are proving my point. Mize being down and enterprise being up is not normal. But like I said, don’t worry. Things will return to normal for mize this year, and for enterprise next year. You barely beat Morton without its top player. They probably would have scored 35 on you with him healthy. You barely beat Union at home. On the road won't be easy this year. You best not have a let down at Forest which is a trap game. Clarkdale may sneak up on you. You best beat Perry Central by 35 or will struggle with Mize and 3A playoff road game.
