It is happening. This is NOT a drill.

Yeah, he's the HC and probably calls plays but being listed as the OC is still a possibility there. -

Yeah I get that. I'd understand it more if it was OC or something. But I get it. -

Dang, HC to QB coach. Must've hated it there. -
It's a sucky situation that you're stating about retirement. The problem lies in the fact that he is still the acting admin. Until he leaves his post and someone is hired in his place, then he is the one responsible for the hire. Now, he could hand it off to someone else. I've seen that done before. Likely won't happen in this case.

Dang, I really thought they'd get on the same schedule. Bummer. -

Yeah, I get that, he just had region 3-6A as Hattiesburg, WJ, Meridian, Forest Hill, South Jones, and Terry and region 4-6A had George County and St Martin in it replacing Gautier. Long Beach wasn't on either list so that's where my question comes from. Unless I missed another 6A breakdown that included LB. -

Where is Long Beach? -
So, King was elevated and Lampley demoted. Interesting.
-
Is Lampley still on staff?
-
It may have a Gulf Shores type of effect.

That’s obviously your opinion. GC had Wayne Co beat in third round and would’ve had showdown with WJ at South State. Lost 13-10 when Drexxler Johnson scrambled in from 15 yards and GC couldn’t quite get into FG range to tie it.
-
Yeah the 2002 GC team is one that should’ve won it all. Lost to d’Iberville with 19 seconds left at South state. Never will forget dominating that game and recovering a fumble in d’Iberville territory that would’ve sealed it only for the refs to rule an incomplete pass. Beat a good Picayune team twice that year and that’s the last time GC has beaten the Tide. Better days are ahead though. GC lost to a great Wayne Co team in 2003 13-10 after they dropped to 4A or GC would’ve potentially won it all in 4A that year. there’s been oh so many close ones for GC.
-
lol they would’ve scratched that itch for you and then some.

I agree with this.
-
Oh wow! That's great news for Hattiesburg then. If they can keep that up then I'd think they should win. I will say that I believe the winner of this game will win South State.
-
I actually think this is a fascinating matchup. I don't think Hattiesburg runs the ball particularly well but they do pass it well. Goula has a really good matchup with their secondary. Main thing for Goula on offense is if they can pass the ball well enough to keep the Hattiesburg front lighter in the box and take advantage then by running it.
-
I agree. GC had a lot of freshmen on the field. Three of the four LBs were freshmen and a corner and a DL was a freshman. Gonna be a tough task against Picayune with hardly any experience playing right now. Better days ahead.
-
I think it will be a hard nosed football game. GC is getting back to the physical football that it was known for. Two teams playing old school physical football. What it was meant to be.

I get what y'all are saying but to just "give up" is kinda dumb too. Coaches owe it to the kids to fight for them and put their best foot forward. If Hancock had came back an won, then everybody would be talking about how much of a genius/good coach Lollar was. BTW, he's not the coach there anymore.
