No official numbers have been released to the public. I feel like the ADs and football coaches have those numbers. There is a period of time normally that schools can dispute the numbers. They also can suggest being in a particular region. Usually that's for schools like Tupelo, Oxford who way want to stay Region 1 vs Region 2.

Have talked to a few coaches and AD's, and no numbers have been released to schools yet. They expect to hear something next week, possibly. I think it was the first of November when they released numbers 2 years ago.

I think it's just lazy to base classes solely on enrollment. You can't expect teams like Jackson city schools to be able to compete with Madison cent or Brandon as an example.

What's your suggestion;

1 Let them play down a class and compete against West Jones and Picayune based on what.

2 Take all the schools in the NE make them Region 1 of all classes when Tupelo is the only 7A and no 6A.

Callaway and Murrah are in the North. The other Jackson schools are in the South. Murrah is the only school that competes with Madison Central.

I mean. You should be able to look at the numbers and do a reclassification in one day.

I feel like they have the numbers based on what the schools turned in. I really can't believe they don't know the classes and regions by now. Their just waiting on MDE to certify the numbers and make final adjustments.

Talked to a member of executive council this  earlier this morning. He said they think they will have numbers tomorrow and will try to release classes tomorrow afternoon or Monday morning. They will meet, I think he said, on the 12th to set regions. But this all hinges on getting numbers from MDE

Computer glitch in new system at MDE. Stop making out schedules. System for Power Schools numbers. Who are the power schools? Does anyone know?

There are two major Student Management Systems in Mississippi. SAM or Power School. School Districts can choose which platform they use.
