Yes and you have to take the guys with big time offers plus there is some politicking behind the scenes.  The truth is talent wise we are behind Alabama in areas and you don't have time to be creative in those games to find the mismatches.

Behind in coaching strategy and qb intelligence

Russ is one of the worst announcers ever....smh. Why Why Why?

Watch LIVE | FNUTL

I watched 2 separate feeds of the game and both were HORRIBLE announcers. One set had a guy who was screaming everything he said and Russ and them were just bad. I'm glad it was broadcast but it's much more enjoyable if you mute it. Mississippi looked BAD. I knew the talent choices were bad back in October but it really showed. The only WR worth an ounce was Burnside and the OL was dominated. MS DL held their own though and LB's not bad but the DB's lacked.

Would agree with Dub. Talent is not the issue. Coaching is. Obviously, Bama has 5 million people, Mississippi has 3 million. So by raw numbers there is more talent over there.
But in this game, our coaching is lacking more so than just the talent on the field.

Agree with Chunky. This game needs to go the way of the 8 track stereo. It is stale and nobody seems to care about it anymore. And I would say that even if we had won more of the games over the years.

Our state association should start up an all-star game with the state of Arkansas. A lot more similar than with Alabama currently.

That prob does make more sense but me being a north follower living in Oxford, I’d like to see MS/TN since Ole Miss gets a lot of Tennessee recruits. I know south folks wouldn’t feel the same about that. I could be wrong but didn’t AR/LA have a thing for awhile or still do?

There is still a lot of talent in Mississippi but it's very underdeveloped when compared to states with more large schools that are essentially football factories. The population difference between us and Alabama is pretty drastic and it's tough to match up with them most years.

I completely agree with you…. Skill players not as much drop off but OL and DL and LB the difference was huge!
