Baldwyn up 14-10 in the 2nd over Kossuth. I was kind of expecting to see more from them.

NEJ just got hosed.  
 

South Jones first and goal from 1 46 seconds till half.  Looked like rb gets across line but officials say no.  The clock stopped while South took 20 seconds to get play in.  2nd down they clearly stuffed.  Should be halftime.  South player goes down after lining up.  Clock stops.  After South scores. 2.9 second left nej returns kickoff to SJ 12 almost made it.

Meridian opens the 2nd half with a quick drive and score. 28-3 Meridian leads. Probably going to be a long year in Ocean Springs.

Neither one has made a ton of game changing mistakes. Meridian is just more athletic. Ocean Springs defense looks either small or young

We are young and missing our only 2 guys on defense that really played last year. My concern is lack of athleticism. We do not look athletic. We look unprepared and lost right now.

Rest assure there’s gonna be more than a handful that don’t look so good this first week and by the end of the season will be a threat. That’s the thing about these little regions. You don’t really have to be on your game until the last five or six weeks of regular season.
Meridian looks cut and in shape too. You can tell Vance has been running their tails off in this heat.

I understand that but you won’t get anywhere running the ball on 3rd & long in scoring position. Same thing that happened last year

South jones had 3rd and about 24 from inside their own 15.  Rb took handoff running left, broke a tackle around the hash, spun and went all the way to right sideline and untouched from first missed tackle went over 80 yards to basically end this game.
