Wareaglefan1us
I may be the only person on here that feels this way but I wish we still voted for Superintendent. This system we are in now is not working in Wayne County. No we didn’t get it right every time but more times than not we did. Allowing the BOE to hire them here is crazy you all just witnessed what a circus we had in a football coaching search. Turn it back over to the voters

Turn it back over to the voters I think that is how it used to be with pretty much all county school districts. It was never that way with the city school districts, but I agree. It gives the Superintendent too much power when all he's got to do is be appointed. I kind of wish it was that way with all the public school districts regardless if they are county or city. Wareaglefan1us
So they name a superintendent two weeks after hiring a football coach. A lot of names withdrew because they wanted to know who they would be working for. I can’t say I know this lady but if memory serves me correctly her husband played football at WC in the 90’s maybe. Good Luck Dr Jones I hope you help the kids in Wayne County become the best they can be.

slicklizard
The new Supt. hasn't even started yet. That call would have to come from her I would think. Unless it's supposed to be statewide. I could see Hathorne trying to do it if he hung around but he's toast. That would have been a dream job for the lazy Hankins.
slicklizard
This is on the subject above about the separation of the BOE and the school administration. If the board truly has no input on the day to day why would a person be allowed to get up and ramble for twenty minutes about his short tenure as principal ? It couldn't be an employee/ employer relationship because the principal reports to the Supt. Or were they actually reporting to the board ? Bubba Hathorne you suck bro. You made people call you coach and you are not one. Go work part time for Daryl Carter now as his defensive coach since you say that you guys are so close. Whatever school Hankins goes to WC should schedule them.
CrimsonUnit1988
Realistically could just put PE down and use it as the athletic block.

Wareaglefan1us
From what I could gather from watching the special school board meeting all new assistant coaching hires have been tabled until July first. At that time the new administration takes over. The audio wasn’t great coming from the meeting.
slicklizard
I had hoped this crap was over and we could all just start working on winning again. She’s mad her son was told he’s getting fired. No matter that he sucked at being a coach just let him stay there forever. Now she’s holding up getting any asst. coaches in place planning on pound letting him stay on out of necessity. Im coming for you next you pant suit wearing hag. It’s okay for other families kids to have to leave to find work but not hers. The curtain has been pulled back and people are seeing why football sucks like it does.
slicklizard
It's over . Tracy you are too good hearted as is Marion. You both just got took for a ride by the same old families that have always said what goes on there. I don't have to time to go on right now but real soon . It's time to start naming the names. slicklizard
They are public record now. Wilma Taylor had the nerve to say the positions aren't posted correctly as the reason they couldn't consider the matter. Who did they let post the HC position and be the contact ? Now you guys are suddenly confused . No it's a lie. Tracy told your son he wouldn't be needed as an asst. coach anymore, He's no coach and was working on small engines or something when Hathorne hired him and made him an asst,. coach. She shouldn't have been in the dam room when this was talked about. Hathorne is right in the confusion portal again. If people can't see by now who's to blame for all this losing and failure you just don't want to see it. Their families stay in the county to work and live. Everyone else especially the talented ones must leave . They want Tracy to throw his hands up and resign so there's time to get Corey in and keep her son on staff. I've been saying this for years, Now it's manifesting itself on poor Tracy. He wants only to make football successful again but that's the last thing this administration wants out of football. It's a disgusting display of abuse of power. Board members who voted to put off hiring assistants until July. FREAKING JULY Wilma Taylor Rusty Pitts Angela Norsworthy Lori Hardin Board members who voted to get a staff now : Marion Chapman

That's beyond viral for a message board like this. When you are drawing water from the same well, this is probably to be expected. slicklizard
Just for emphasis again. This Wilma Taylor's (Pres. of the board ) son was hired away from changing oil in small engines by Hathorne not long after Hankins started and put on the football staff. Pound has already told him he wont be on his staff. Her , Bubba and this downs syndrome Temp supt( yes we met and you know me so come at me please) have been talking together and cooked this scheme up to run Tracy off . They want her nephew Cory Reynolds with her son to continue run the football program into the ground . The people telling her and Bubba what to do should be in jail for the stealing with both hands they were doing before these current clowns. They are so scared of any outside eyes coming in and seeing what they have done and I suspect are still doing. Marion is a bright kid who will stand up for what is right but they will run him off eventually also . My advice for him is to leave Wayne County too. You will spend half your life trying to undo their crap and have nothing to show for it. But if you really want to scare them you know the same people as me . Have one of them get with me and I can tell you where to start. Edited April 4 by slicklizard
slicklizard
Your power and influence dwindles by the day. Everyone is beginning to see why things are where they are. Even Paul Keane took a double dose of Centrum Silver last Monday and told us who said what. That's the straight shooter I remember. Keep it up . We are going to need it. Things aren't perfect in Waynesboro and won't be fixed in one day with a magic wand but this crap they are pulling is something that needs to be first thing that is put back on course. This is wrong on so many levels.with the primary being you have a young person that has left a stable job in probably the nicest, exploding with growth areas of the state to come back and do his part. This is what you do??? You basically spit in his face and say there's nothing here for you. Of course it's what you do. It's what, outside of about maybe a decade, has been SOP in Wayne County. Let me tell you this you spit in mine too. I left and never came back. What you see on display now is why.
